Superior to the Denman Brush.
I recently discovered an amazing brush that has completely transformed my hair routine! It’s incredibly affordable and offers fantastic value for your money—way better than the Denman brush, in my opinion. I’ve been using it to define and volumize my curls on my afro kinky unit, which I believe has a 4C curl pattern. The results are absolutely stunning! My curls have never looked so vibrant and full of life.

Best brush for evenly separating and accentuating curls
I thought I would try this $6 brush before investing in the $35 Bounce Curl volume brush. The brush itself is sturdy but not heavy. However, the handle design could be more ergonomically friendly.Using this brush has significantly reduced my styling time for my 3B curly hair. I also often find myself searching for it in my daughter's bathroom after they’ve borrowed it for their 3C ringlets. Here's how we use the brush:1. Apply products to your hair when it is very wet (such as leave-in conditioner, curl cream, mousse, or gel).2. Brush in small sections with this brush, ensuring there’s good tension on the hair. (This part takes practice to master. Be patient, and don’t hesitate to try different brushing techniques for root volume and curl separation.)3. Scrunch with a microfiber towel and apply more mousse or gel before plopping, diffusing, or air drying.Using the brush on really wet hair helps the curls clump and spiral as you pull them through the brush’s ridges. It also aids in distributing any product applied to the hair. Now, for the downside: this brush is not the gentlest on the scalp or strands, so if you have a sensitive scalp, you might want to consider this. In my experience, I personally do not find it painful or rough; I didn’t experience any pulling or snagging (perhaps because I grew up with my mother brushing my hair/brain daily). However, my two teenage daughters, who have very thick, heavy, tight curls, say that it pulls and hurts their scalps. (They could probably benefit from some time spent with their grandma brushing their hair.)**Please note that this brush will not create curls if you have straight hair. It is specifically designed for individuals with wavy to curly hair who want to define and volumize their natural curl pattern.**

Great for my crazy hair
Loving the brushing ability for my thick, course wavy hair. Helps keep the frizz down. Weight is easy on my hand. Great value and works well.

Pretty good :)
It actually works!! I recently bleached and dyed my hair so it’s been so frizzy and not curling well but this brush separated and let my hair curl so nicely. THIS IS NOT A GOOD DETANGLER! I would recommend brushing your hair out first with a stronger brush to get any knots out since this just gives your hair shape. Overall love it, although it is a hassle since I have a lot of hair so be ready to have sore arms lol.

Perfect curls
We’ve had this brush for a few weeks. It’s works great! Two curly girls use it daily. It makes their curls stay way longer than if I use a wide toothed comb. I pull the loose hairs out after every use, and it still looks brand new. Loved the price vs the competitor brands.

Intriguing, but I miss my ouchless days.
I’ll admit, I have mixed feelings about this brush. It’s not love at first swipe, but it’s also not a total dud. Let’s break it down:First, the good stuff. I really like the ridges on this brush—they make it super easy to pull your hair through and actually define your curls. It’s like giving your curls a little extra structure and bounce, which is a win if you’re chasing that perfectly defined look. For styling and shaping curls, it gets the job done and leaves you with a polished finish. Now, the downside. This brush pulls. I’m coming from a world of “ouchless” brushes and even just wide toothed combs that glide through hair like butter, so this one caught me off guard. It’s not the most gentle on the scalp or strands, and I did notice some breakage while using it, which is a bummer. If you have finer or snag prone hair definitely make sure you are using this with detangled and well conditioned hair.

Cleans Great & Easy to Use
Good quality and easy to clean!!I HATE hair in my brushes, but since my hair is so curly it’s a given that some will get caught up in it. This brush is super easy to clean tho! - I know this is probably a strange thing to comment on for a brush made specifically for curly hair, but it’s important to me 😭It also works pretty well for defining my curls!! I’m still learning how to style my hair, but there’s definitely a difference between this brush and normal ones 😊
