This couch lever is made of metal.
The couch release lever is in metal. Which is fantastic. Most ones come with plastic and can ( will) break. All it takes is removal of 2 screws to fix it. This is a bargain at the price it is sold. All components are of quality make. I had a recliner, which many said was not repairable. But with an investment of under ₹ 700, it was done. While installing first insert the cable into the couch release lever supplied.
