Can anyone tell is there any difference in my milk supply?...

I've nursed 7 children before I tried this herb. I know most of the tricks of the trade and I've done them. My kids were always lean and my milk "watery"- even nursing on demand didn't improve this. I eat very well and kept my calories up (plus drinking 1 gallon of water/24hrs), but this herb actually improved my milk quality and quantity. My 8th child was fatter than any of my others- much heavier and more content. My milk looked creamy and thick- what a surprise! I will nurse with alfalfa again. (Side note: I also used it with my pregnancy as I tend to retain more fluid- this helped a lot. I stopped taking it the last month as (I think... it's been awhile) it can work like a blood thinner.) I'm 5'9, 33, and 155 lbs- I took 2 tablets for about 2 wks daily, and then increased to 4 tablets/daily pregnant. While nursing, I used 4 tablets/daily... once again tapering on and off as needed. (This shouldn't be taken as medical advice- please talk to your ob doctor about this herb and if it's suitable for your health. Please be aware that this herb hasn't been tested with long term use- it can have an estrogen effect on your body. I used it as needed, but I'm not on it now. Also, I've read this herb can effect your blood sugar- in a good way!- but start slowly and use thoughtfully.) Cheers!

Are these tablets chewable?

They are chewable only in the sense that they can be crushed by teeth.  I drink water as I am crushing the tablets.  It is "do-able", and I think the results of the tablets is worth the momentary discomfort of "taste".

Patrick, The ingredient Alfalfa is in fact listed in its own separate section on the label in between two big black lines at the amount of 1,950 mg. That amount is per their recommendation of 3 tablets per day. The section: OTHER Ingredients is the other stuff that is added along with the Alfalfa the is in each tablet. "Other" is the key word that modifies the word ingredients. It means there is more than Alfalfa in each tablet.
