Golden books are great! Perfect little book.

As most people know the story of Pinocchio, this review will focus on the physical book. Suffice it to say that the story is a bit dark for children, though I think most can handle it, and it is ultimately very touching.I bought this book as a gift for my severely autistic/developmentally disabled step-daughter. Pinocchio is one of her favorite movies of all time, and she loves the characters in this story. She will spend long periods of time listening to the soundtrack while looking at the pictures in this book. She is almost completely nonverbal, but Pinocchio inspires her to sing a few words of the songs and repeat a few words the characters say. The book's artwork is in the style of the movie, as is the story, though very condensed.This little book has held up to her quite well. She carries a few things with her everywhere, and this is one of her treasures. Because this is a review for a book that is most likely going to be purchased for a child, it feels only fair to mention that she is currently in her early 20s, so she has learned over time how to treat books a bit better. While she does take better care than a child might, she can still be rough on books, and books under her ownership still face some obstacles. She will pick at/tear any areas that become damaged, so it is important that a book start out with decent quality paper and sturdy cover, things I can always count on Little Golden books to do. All of the other books she received at the same time as this one are destroyed and gone - something we expect and accept - but this one is still going strong.

This is a book, that you had as a child. It's Disney. Looks the same. Good printing quality. Durable binder.

Great story book for bedtime with grandkids.

My order came quickly. I’m giving this as a gift to my granddaughter. She’s 8. And she’s been having some “Pinocchio” issues herself lately. It’s more if a little gag gift. Fits her perfectly.

Just like the series when I was a child.

For this for my 3 year. Great quality and just like I remember, but it is too scary for him just yet!
