Minka-Aire F519L-BN Concept II 52 Inch Ceiling Fan Flush Mount Ceiling Fan with Integrated 14W LED Light in Brushed Nickel Finish

We got this fan to replace our old Minka, which had failed to respond to the remote and only operated at one speed. This fan is beautiful, quiet, effective and has an LCD light.

First, its a really nice looking fan and I do appreciate the ease of installation. I like how the remote controller was already pre-installed so its basically mounting to the ceiling box, attaching 3 wires, pushing in 3 blades and turning the power back on.But there are 2 serious flaws with this fan...#1; sounds like a helicopter with swooshing noises as opposed to the traditional fan/white noise of a 4 or 5 blade fan. I need white noise to sleep, but this is rather annoying.#2; It rattles! Seriously? WTF?! It comes pre-assembled by Minka so if it rattles, it must be either a design or a buold flaw. Regardless, in fan speed 2 or 3, it makes a rattling sound which is every bit as annoying as my old, cheap $90 Hampton Bay ceiling fan. But at least it took 6 years to start creaking and rattling. The $300+ Minka started rattling after 4 days. Ugh!I'd return it but what a hassle to repack it in the box, ship it back, wait for another fan (threw my old one out), etc. Not sure what I will do now, but seriously disappointed in this fan--its 3 times the price of nearly all the fans sold and yet it's just as crappy as the ugly 5 blade ones sold at Home Depot, etc. Save yourself the hassle and don't waste your money on this fan unless you just want to look at it. At least the light works well and is bright enough to light my bedroom.

I love these fans. I’ve ordered 4 of these and recommended to a friend who installed three. They’re well made, quiet, good looking and are the easiest fans to install.

I like these fans so much I have 4 in my home of varying sizes. This one I had trouble with but not because of the fan itself. After installation it would not work properly and I was online with this expert and that expert, even with the manufacturer, who kindly sent me a part they thought might be the problem. Still no luck.Then like a light bulb I realized it was the wall switch. I had a lighted dimmer wall switch which was completely throwing the fan out of whack. After changing to a single pole on/off wall switch it functions perfectly. This is the only reason I'm giving the fan 4 instead of 5 stars. Nothing was stated in the instructions about the type of switch you must have!

Love it. Quiet. Low setting cools off our entire liv rm. Very modern looking, but simple/minimalistic also.

I bought this fan in Used- Like New condition for my son for Christmas. We figured we'd set the fan up today and realized that the glass cover for the light was cracked down the middle, it looked like someone messed with the control board on the inside of the fan, and didn't come with tool to put the blades in the fan. It was also missing the holder for the remote that you would mount on your wall. When all was said and done the fan did not even work. We talked to my brother who is an electrician and he said the fan was as good as broken. Do not buy this fan in "Used- Like New" condition. You will be missing pieces and end up with a broken $270 fan.

I have 6 of these fans 3 of them I purchased in 2018 LED and already one of the receiver on the newest one stop working so I had to ordered the control and replaced it. One of the oldest one was connected to a wall mount control not the fan original brand and the fan relay burned which I had to replace with a generic one and the fan only perform one speed.

I'M A LADY AND I CAN INSTALL THIS FAN WITHOUT ANY HELP. NO ONE. IT HAS A HOOK FOR YOU TO HANG THE HEAVY MOTOR THING WHILE DOING THE SCREWY THING. I THINK. BUT I DID IT. HE ASKED IF HE COULD HELP BUT HE WASN'T SERIOUS I KNEW IT. SO I DID IT. WITHOUT HIM. AND IT HASN'T FLOWN OFF THE CEILING OR KILLED ANYONE OR ANYTHING IT JUST MAKES REALLY GREAT WIND. NOT LOUD. I HAD TO WORK EXTRA SHIFTS TO AFFORD THIS THING AND IT WAS WORTH IT. BUT ALL THE LADIES OUT THERE ON THEIR OWN -- YOU CAN DO THIS. COWS UNITE.
