Amazing Shave!
After years of experimenting with budget electric shavers, I finally decided to splurge a little and invest in a $100 electric shaver. Let me tell you, it was one of the best decisions I’ve made! Initially, I hesitated at the thought of spending that much on a shaver, especially since I’ve been burned before by cheaper options that broke down or had parts that simply didn’t hold up. But this time, I was determined to find something that would last, and wow, did I find it!First off, the noise level is surprisingly pleasant. It’s not completely silent, but it’s definitely not obnoxious either. It strikes a balance that makes the shaving experience feel more enjoyable rather than a chore. **No one wants a shaver that sounds like a lawnmower in the bathroom!**Now, let’s talk about the comfort factor. This shaver fits in my hand perfectly. The ergonomic design is a game changer! It feels so natural to hold, and I can easily maneuver it around my face without any awkward angles or discomfort. **It's like it was made just for me!**And when it comes to performance, this shaver delivers a shave that is as smooth as butter. I’m not exaggerating when I say it glides effortlessly over my skin, cutting through hair with precision and ease. No tugging, no pulling, just a clean, close shave every time. Plus, the feature specifically designed for beards is an absolute bonus. Whether I’m going for a clean look or maintaining a bit of stubble, this shaver adapts beautifully to my grooming needs. The compact size is another highlight. It doesn’t take up much space, which is great for storage or travel. I can easily toss it into my toiletries bag without worrying about it being bulky. In conclusion, if you've been on the fence about investing in a quality electric shaver, take it from me: **don’t hesitate!** This shaver is worth every penny and has transformed my grooming routine. I finally feel like I’ve found the right tool for the job—one that won’t let me down and will stand the test of time. If you value comfort, efficiency, and a smooth shave, this is the investment you need to make!

A must have for traveling!
For the price I had my doubts, but I really needed a compact shaver for traveling. I travel a lot for work and I found most portable electric razors don't work that well. While this is no Braun 9 series, it works great. It gets a close shave, is easy to clean and best of all I can charge with USB C.I have tested almost all of the "portable" electric razors and this one is the best.

A Decent Electric Razor
I'll be comparing this to my only other electric razor I've used for over two decades: two previous iterations of the Braun Series 3.I've been using this Panasonic Swipe Right razor for a little over two weeks, which is as long as the battery has lasted on my initial charge. This isn't bad given the size of the razor and that it's meant for travel. I use it for shaving only my neck daily. I use a 20-year-old Remington for trimming my beard, but it's too big to trim my mustache. For this reason, I have to keep my old Braun razor, since it does have a slide-out trimmer on it. It would be nice if this Panasonic had a small slide-out trimmer as well.I have noticed it has two motor engagements; it makes an audible change in the vibration when shifting to the closer shave (when I press the razor into my neck more firmly). The normal motor engagement probably gives a slightly worse shave than the Braun electric razors I've used, while the closer motor engagement is somewhat better than the Brauns. Like other electric razors I've used, it takes several passes to get all the visible hairs. Unlike my Brauns, this Panasonic is able to get a pretty smooth shave, where brushing my fingers along my neck line doesn't prickle stubble just below the surface of the skin. It's not quite the feeling of a traditional manual razor because it's hard to get the smooth shave evenly everywhere, but it's close. And unlike my Brauns, I do get some mild razor burn with this razor sometimes, despite oiling the foil with the included oil. It hasn't cut me, though, like some other reviewers have mentioned. As others have pointed out, the method of turning this razor on is stupid. The first thing I did was test turning it on with the cap on because when I read that was possible in another review I said "there's no way they'd be stupid enough to design this to turn on with the cap on." Well, they are. However, in practice, as long as I'm careful when I'm dropping it in my bag and don't hear any vibrating, it should be okay. It also turns on accidentally when I'm trying to clean it. Cleaning inside the foil is easy and simple, by the way: press the tabs on the side to pop the foil off and then rinse, let dry, and snap the foil back on.The power button would have been MUCH better as a solid state button (i.e. still not a physical button that allows water intrusion) that you press and hold for a second to turn on/off. I haven't accidentally turned it off while using it, but it's annoying I have to use two hands to turn it on and off, or turn it on while it's sitting on the shelf and then pick it up.The main reason I ordered this razor, and why I'll be keeping it, is because it's one of the few name-brand razors that has USB-C charging. I don't know why other manufacturers are so slow to get on board with this. I don't want to travel with a large, proprietary adapter with a non-detachable cord that takes up more space than this entire razor. So kudos to Panasonic for using some common sense there. The cover for the charging port doesn't always get out of the way of the USB-C cable as well as I would like, but I only have to worry about that a couple of times a month.I plan to use this Panasonic as my daily razor as well as for travel. I love the small size, which takes up little space in the bathroom or bag. Charging is relatively easy, I get a better shave than my old Brauns, and it looks very good with a nice, high-end build. Provided it lasts, it's worth every bit of 4 stars. It's clear there are still several ways Panasonic can improve upon this design in future models: fix the power button situation; include a small slide-out trimmer; and give the user an option to only use the closer shave motor at all times, even at the expense of battery life.

Compact but gimmicky on and off switch
This is a beautiful shaver, compact, round and fits anywhere when travelling. It also shaves very close, better than my non travel Philips daily driver. However, the on off switch is a touch slider. No button just you slide your finger along a line. This is not intuitive. Sometimes it registers and sometimes not. Sometimes you can slide it on by mistake while handling it even with the cover on that's suppose to cover the slider part of the device. This can run out of battery in your bag if you switched it on by mistake. Why get cute with the switch? It's a simple shaver, keep it simple and make a real switch, less complicated and easier to use.Battery life seems good enough that you don't have to worry. It's USB c so you travel with your phone charger to charge this.

Great for travel
I used to take my Braun on trips but it’s a lot bigger and so is the charger, so I purchased the Panasonic for travel. Gives a close shave, easy to clean, and so small. USB-C charger that you’re probably bringing on a trip anyways. Holds a charge for about 6 shaves (for me anyways, I have a heavy beard).I was worried about the quirky slide capacitive switch but it seems to work fine. Anyways, love this for travel.
