It took a while to figure out what settings worked best for what areas and took way longer than most people say it should, but am male, and I think I've got it down now. Some people say it hurts like being snapped by a rubber band, but I think that's a bit of an overstatement. If anything, the warmth of the head of the device is what's more uncomfortable, but even then, it's nothing compared to waxing, sugaring, or epilating.I wish they had glasses that covered the entire field of view, because the fact that I can see the flash out of my peripherals freaks me out a bit, but to be fair, these are the kinds of glasses all of these kinds of products come with, so it should be fine in terms of safety.I've been wary of skin discoloration, so even though I haven't had that anywhere I've used this product so far, I'm not getting this anywhere near my face.The hairs don't exactly come out as soon as they're zapped. Sometimes it's during the showers later, or after my clothing rubs against the treated areas over the course of the day, but overall there's been a definite reduction in hair density and thickness, so this product works fine, and seems like a great value considering the price of other similar products.

I have used the ARTOLF Laser Hair remover for 4 months now and it has been the best removal tool I have tried. I am now at a point that a touch up is needed once a month. The hair doesnt start to grow back for at least 3.5 weeks. Great product!!!

Full disclosure: I have never tried laser hair removal either at home or in a professional office. I have shaved my underarms and legs for, well, roughly 3/4s of my life (!!!). I see my pro for waxing my face and bikini area. I wish I could wax everything but geez it's expensive!When I saw this on Amazon with glowing reviews AND it was on sale I just had to try it out. Because as I'm creeping into my 40s I'm growing hair in places I did not grow hair before. Thanks a lot perimenopause. Anyway.First impression: shipping was FAST, product was packaged nicely and the product itself is very sleek. It will be super easy to travel with.Opening the box: directions are included but they're a little confusing. I found it best to do a quick web search for how to instructions and videos and first timer tips. I was surprised to find out shaving before the first treatment is recommended. A razor is included in the box along with safety glasses; a thoughtful touch.There are a quite a few settings or "gears"; 1 (lowest) up to 9 (highest). Since it was my first attempt and I have fair, sensitive skin I started on 1. It felt like...nothing. I bumped the gear up to 3. That created a rather warm sensation, though not as hot or uncomfortable as wax.The device itself is light weight, easy to hold, and the head is perfectly designed to target a variety of areas on the face and body. The only thing is, I wasn't expecting the zapping sound when the laser found a hair follicle target. I jumped! LOL.There's a cool automatic feature that flashes up to eight times on a target hair follicle. It stops flashing to tell you to move to the next area. I appreciate this because otherwise I don't know if I'm doing it right. There might be a gentle zing sensation on the skin after eight flashes but the feeling disappeared as soon as I moved onto another area.Last impressions: The first session is a bit time consuming. To target my underarms, legs and bikini area it took me about an hour; roughly 1000 flashes. (There's a counter that reads 999,999 flashes and it counts down the remaining flashes. ) I'm ok with this because the device itself is regularly $99; compare that to a 15 minute wax session that costs $65 plus tip.Put it another way: each session will cost me roughly 10 cents! That's it?! Sessions should become faster too as the hair follicles slowly stop producing new hairs. Time will tell.I'm planning to use my new device every 3 days, roughly the same as my shaving schedule. I'll do my best to remember to add pictures to this review and post a results update a few months from now.

Loving the product! After a few weeks I could tell the hair was growing back more slowly. Of course it takes time for the hair to completely be removed as you have to go through all the grow cycles. Super easy to use after the shower.Customer service has been great. Item is not cordless. Not a problem for usage, I was just using it wrong.

Been using it for a few weeks. It seems to be working as promised - but I don't think I've been using it long enough for any permanent impact. The design is simple enough but the directions leave a bit to be desired - definitely written and then translated without a fluent English speaker to review them. The labels of the different models are not clear at all and the directions aren't much help. That being said, it was relatively inexpensive. Uncomfortable but not painful. I'm hoping to update it after a few months!

Very easy to use, it's pretty simple to adjust the settings and intensity. Solidly built, too.

I've used this for 3 months and armpit hair is nearly gone. I've been using it for 2 months on the bikini line and that is starting to show great results. I would recommend this item. Follow the instructions where it says to gradually increase the intensity each time because now I barely feel anything. It was a small little zap in the very beginning.

Simple directions & easy to use. Works pretty good for an at home product on dark hairs.
