Good Sound
I had a problem with sound from my laptop and therefore this was the reason I purchased this item. Plug it in the USB port and it works like a charm. For the price it was a great deal.

Cheap product, fails often.
Worked for about a week before an intermittent ticking/static noise became apparent. Now after a few months the static is constant, and today the entire adapter ceased to function. It's lived connected to the front usb port, not abused in the slightest... Waste of money, spend more on a better product that won't crap out during an interview or something else important.

Adapter for headphones and other peripheral external devices
I'm not sure why they call it a sound card but it is a great adaptor where I hook up my gaming headsets. Most of my USB slots are full but this one connect with A USB +C and the it gives you control over loudness plus mute functions with visual cues and also talks to the PC or laptop so when you make certain adjustments its reflected on the screen. Very Affordable but this is no sound card in the traditional sense. So be aware.

Works well
Works just as described in the listing. Solved my need to use two headsets at the same time by using the center (black) jack and the right (green) jack simultaneously.

Works with computer speakers when built-in sound card is bad
After doing some research, I discovered that my inability to connect my speakers to my mini pc was due to an interface problem with Windows 11 and Realtek sound cards. The Vention USB external sound card is a simple, cost-effective solution to this problem. I have is running from a Vention USB 3.0 splitter, since my onboard USB connections are limited, and got sound immediately. The sound quality was good on the YouTube music video I tested it on. No buzzing, just clean sound coming out of my 3 speaker (separate bass). I definitely would recommend this sound card to anyone looking for a cost effective solution to a bad internal sound card.

Loose USB, frequently disconnects with any slight movement or pressure.
I got this to add the ability to wire 3.5mm headset earbuds with a mic to a laptop that lacked a 3.5mm jack. Overall, it does work as advertised, but the USB end of the connector is very loose and finicky.85% of the time, everything works as intended, sound quality is great. But, if you move the wrong way, even a slight jostling of the dongle to cause any side to side shimmying in the actual USB jack in the port, and you will have a disconnect. Then it takes 15-20 seconds to come back -- if it comes back. When it is disrupted, it can be 30 seconds to a full minute while you fully remove, wait, and then readd the dongle. Most of the time it will see the plug and play dongle and resume in 10-15 seconds after unplugging and plugging it back in. But maybe 10% of the time when it does get disrupted, it just won't reinitialize for the rest of your call, which is a major pain to deal with.Recently, it began cropping up with an issue where audio quality is great but it is dropping the headset mic. Absolutely infuriating because you can go quite long on a meeting before you discover that you are mute, and the fix isn't quick.I've had this thing for only a few months. I wasn't expecting much but this is very disappointing. It does work well when it works so I can't justify one star... But I'd never recommend it or buy one again, and I recommend you steer clear because the USB connection is a very cheap part and a connector that shimmies so easily means they really REALLY cheaped out on an already cheap part. Does not bode well for lifespan.
