The Wedding Planner
Yardley had been running her mom and aunts’ wedding planning business ever since she graduated college with a bachelor’s degree in business. Her mom and aunt had almost run the business into bankruptcy. Yardley came in with a strong attitude of budgeting and closely watching expenditures, especially personal expenses.Sheena and her brother Travis became her new clients. Sheena and her boyfriend Todd were planning on getting married. Sheena was pregnant, so sooner rather than later their wedding needed to happen. Travis was paying for the wedding. He didn’t want the bride and groom to start married life with the debt of a wedding. He helped make choices and insisted that Sheena not worry about costs. This was a great story with a lot of fun characters. It was fun and easy to read. I read it in just a few days.

Standing up for oneself can be difficult
Yardley Belanger needs to get a life without the negativity of her mother and her aunt, but she's too nice to break away from them--that is, until she finds her ONE when she least expects it. The man in question, Travis Long, only makes her acquaintance because his sister, Sheena, wants Yardley's help in making her upcoming wedding perfect.Soon Yardley's efforts not only attract Travis but convince him that she's the ONE for him, too. The problem is how can he convince Yardley that she is far more than she's ever given herself credit for? Perhaps the efforts of the townspeople to make her the head of the community council will do the trick, but to do that, she has to move the town matriarch aside. Can she do it? Will she do it? And if she does, what will her mother and aunt say about that?

Well written romance with touching characters
Yardley was such a wonderful character to get to know! Her empathy and love just made her so very lovable. And her merry band of friends showed me that she really was a good person - the kind you'd like to count as one of your very best friends. As a wedding planner, Yardley knew everything about how to put things together to make the happy couple feel special on their wedding day. And she did that while dealing with her bitter mom and aunt, and while thinking a happily ever after was just not in the cards for her...The Honeymoon Cottage is all about hopes and dreams, friendships, family, love, and growing as a human being. I loved all of it, the romance between Yardley and Travis first of all, but also the secondary characters' romances, from Yardley's best friend Mimi and her husband Kevin with their baby-daughter Sammy, to Travis' sister Sheena and her fiancé Todd. The writing is so well done, and the story unfolded seamlessly at a perfect pace, which made it all the more enjoyable.

Slow, repetitive, cute, good ending
I read this series in the wrong order~ This is book 1 of the series and I happened to read it last. I’m glad I did or I might not have read the other 2. Let me preface by saying… book 2 was cute, slow, but a good ending. I loved book 3!!This one was hard to get into. I wanted to see how the little town started. The other 2 books mention Yardley, but she’s not even really a side character. In this book, Yardley runs the family wedding planner business. She takes care of everything for her mother and aunt who all live in the same house. They are not nice to her and make comments that she’s learned to let go. Mimi, her best friend, would be considered a great best friend if she wasn’t so annoying.Travis is awesome. He has raised his little sister and now is paying for her wedding. So he tags along to the little town of Cemetery, Indiana to see the wedding planner with his sister. As they have meetings and hang out, he goes from thinking she’s cute to liking her. Their story is sweet. They are quite adorable together. There is a happy ending.I found myself skimming the pages of repetitiveness. Overall, it’s cute but not the best of the series. So if you start out with book 1, just know each one gets a little better.
