What temperature does the water have to be to make a prefect brew?

I don't know if I brew it right, but here is how I get a delicious cup. I use a french press, put in boiling water, stir it. I then stir every five minutes for about 15 and rest it for 5 before I press and pour it out. Add a little sugar free caramel syrup and it is heaven in a cup!

Can I purchase whole bean to grind myself
