Shopping for an ironing board cover is not something you believe will take more time than to just pick the size and color. However, shopping for a new one took more time than shopping for the perfect swimsuit! I read so many product descriptions and buyer reviews I felt like I could go pro. I’ve been seeing since I was 11 years old and sew garments, quilts, curtains and costumes so my ironing board is an essential tool. After considering options for $30 including one from Gorilla I kept coming back to this one. It arrived quickly and I decided to tackle redressing the board myself. Wrestling the cover on is much like squeezing yourself into a body shaper or at least like getting a fitted sheet in a deep pile mattress. Tip: you can adjust the casing so smooth it away from the point of the board; this gets the wrinkles out of the curved top and gives you more wiggle room for the rest - and you need that. Work the hook and loop straps out so you don’t need to dig for them. Work like you would on your mattress. The fit WILL be tight but the cover will stretch to conform to the board. You want a tight fit otherwise the cover will loosen up and you’ll end up with a wrinkled work top and your cover will be useless. If, for some reason, your cover is too big, you can put this cover over top of your old one.The blue is not flat but has the sparkle in it that you get in non-scorch fabric. My first project was new curtains for my living room. The cover was great. There were no odors before or after heating. This is a great product.

Appears well made. Color is as pictured. Know that it will be a wrestling match with the ironing board to get it pulled on just as other reviewers have stated. Once in place, it is staying!

The pad is thick enough that it doesn't leave the metal grate marks on clothes. Easy to store away. Better than expected

Really pleased with the cover! It is great quality, with nice attached padding on the underside, the important silicone coating on the top side, two Velcro straps that along with the elastic edging all the way around really secure the cover snuggly to the ironing board. And really like the tan color that I decided at the last minute to get instead of the silver. Was replacing a silver pad that had about 20 years of regular use, so wanted to try and get another high quality one to replace it. Did some research and read quite a few reviews before deciding on this one. As soon as it arrived and was unpacked, could tell that it was everything I was hoping it would be. It fits my board perfectly (which measures 15" at the widest part towards the back of the board, and 48" length top surface, without accounting for the wrap under portion of fabric needed). Ironed the cover right away to remove the wrinkles, which was achieved easily. Am pretty certain that this cover will provide quite a few years of use, like the one it is replacing.

In case I have not _thoroughly_ reviewed this product, may I say that these covers are THE VERY BEST. Having bought one for myself, needing another for daughter, simply clicked “ buy again.” The finish is __ excellent__! Not slippery, yet heat reflective, we find that wetting difficult garments not necessary now. Fit is great for our slightly different size ironing boards. Elasticized edges make it so easy to put on, keep in place. And the thinly- padded ( perfect) underside is great material, not foamy/ smelly as some are when heated. Love it. Makes ironing pleasurable.

I purchased a new iron and so I treated myself to this new padded ironing board cover, as well. The cover went on easily and I really liked the 2 velcro straps (back and mid position, not one in front, but it's OK without). The thickness of the padding and the feel of the fabric was all very nice, and just what I was hoping for. I was only on my THIRD shirt when I saw that the cover had already ripped right where I do all my work and set the iron down! Now that there's a rip, you can tell that the fabric of this cover is so thin, you can actually see the color of my fingertips when I place them behind the rip! There is absolutely NO substance to this cover. I'm beyond irritated by the fact that now I have to package this worthless scrap of fabric (which immediately failed to do its job) well enough to ship back to Amazon for a refund. Do yourself a favor and buy something more substantial.

After my last ironing board cover shredded while I was ironing I had to find a new one quickly. I started searching and came across this one. I always read product review - even though some people weren't pleased - most people were. Some said "hard to put on" and "edges were wrinkled" but I bought this anyway. Aren't all ironing board covers hard and a pain to put on! I had to pull it a bit, bit it fits nicely. And those wrinkled edges around the small end of the ironing board went away within a week. I did iron them directly too. Also, I did put this one over top of my old one because I like to have a well padded board. I love this one and I hope it lasts a long time because I do a lot of ironing. This is the one to buy!!!!
