The RK ROYAL KLUDGE F68 foldable mechanical keyboard is a delightful device. It’s a Bluetooth keyboard or usb-c wired keyboard. The USB-C socket acting as the power source to charge the internal battery. The keys are nice and tactile, with about 5mm of travel on the way down. The top plate of the keyboard is metal; and when folded out on a hard surface the keyboard is nice and rigid – though it doesn’t have a lock to hold it out flat if you are using it on your lap. The base of the keyboard is a soft plastic with some rubber feet for more aggressive use. The materials in the build are reflected in the dense feeling 850g weight. If you choose to use Bluetooth; you can pair 3 devices and switch between them using a fn key combination; this makes it easy to switch between my laptop and my iPad. The only other thing that would make it better are some feet to adjust the angle.The keys are full size, the keyboard is compact for travel thanks to the folding mechanism and the lack of numeric pad. Typing on the keyboard is great; they keys have a nice even resistance and stop with a good click. If you like classical style keyboards over laptop keyboards this is a great choice for carrying one around with you (there is even a velour effect carrying bag to protect it a great keyboard for crashing out documents, as well as playing games. The keyboard is backlit, you can control the brightness and switch between a constant illumination and a flashing mode with a Fn key shortcuts. That extended function also lets you flip the keyboard between windows and mac modes; the mac mode also working well when you fold out the tablet holder and connect the keyboard to an iPad. They have overloaded a little on the keyboard combinations; you can ctrl access F keys on the numeric keys; if you include the fn key you get media shortcuts like ctrl -fn -1 and 2 change the brightness. The Ctrl-FN combination is sticky though so when you engage It the multimedia keys stay running.There is a control app for windows that lets you record macros to improve your gaming experience.I love the compact size and the folding design; it makes it fit much easier into my work day-bag and improves my travel keyboard experience for the sake of about a kilo of weight.

I like this; it appeals to me on several levels and is a great gadget that comes well-packaged,But.Initially, I don't get it.I like a 2.4 GHz dongle; they are reliable and work with a PC when it switches on. In my experience, Bluetooth doesn't always work. While that is okay with a touchscreen device, for a traditional PC, if your keyboard or mouse is not recognised, it's more of a problem.So, a dongle is a reliable choice, say for a media PC, where you want a keyboard on your lap to enter text.However, I can hook this keyboard up via a USB-C socket, so I grab my leads and try it... and it doesn't seem to work.I use the supplied lead, which is good quality, quite long, and has a USB-C to A fitted adaptor. It still didn't work...Because I had it turned on, when the switch is on, and the keyboard is wired, the wired connection appears only to charge the device. In the off position, the keyboard works as a wired keyboard, and this wired connection is needed for the programmability options.So, how is it to use?I like a mechanical keyboard, and I use one at my desk for most of my PC work and play.And as mechanical keyboards go, this is relatively portable.It is made more portable than a regular compact wired or wireless mechanical keyboard because it folds, but portability is relative.I have an older folding flat Bluetooth membrane keyboard—under 10x14 cm and 1cm thick. It is wider than my phone but still pocketable; however, it has none of the wonders of tactile feedback a mechanical keyboard delivers—but it weighs 160g and fits in my pocket.The RK ROYAL KLUDGE F68, even though it comes with a nice soft bag—I think most people will use another bag to carry it around. At the same time, an oversized coat pocket might accommodate it; I would not describe this device as pocketable.In practical terms, a compact mechanical keyboard remains an alternative, although bigger; in real terms, I don't think the size difference will matter in most cases for most people most of the time.That's because while this keyboard folds, it is still quite thick at 5cm high, so it may be more convenient to stow it unfolded, say, in a satchel or briefcase-style bag.Nevertheless, this is a solid mechanical keyboard with swappable keys; these components constrain the size and result in a 560g weight. Even so, I am impressed that these things have been built into something as compact as this keyboard manages to be.Moreover, the RK ROYAL KLUDGE F68 is lovely to type with; the feel of the mechanical keys is better for me, and this will be the main selling point and appeal. You can find more portable, smaller, and lighter keyboards, but a membrane keyboard won't have the mechanical feel.I am, however, disappointed that this is flat. So, I am using this keyboard now to complete the review, with it propped up to give me a comfortable angle. I don't think foldout feet would have made this much bigger.Another negative is the foldout stand for a phone or a tablet. It feels flimsy but may be strong enough; time will tell.In conclusion, I still don't quite get it, but I still love the gadget value of this. If you are looking for a relatively portable mechanical keyboard for your device to use on planes, trains and possibly automobiles, as well as when out and about, this keyboard is well worth considering.

I have purchased 4 keyboards this year (Asus Azoth, lofree edge, ProtoArc folding keyboard, and the RK F68. By far the most satisfying keyboard this year. Portable, great feel, quiet.Only nitpick is the case. Should be made of thicker material so the keys don’t catch on things outside of the bag.

Looks so nice, functions just the way it should, the size is extremely impressive given the fact it’s an actual mechanical keyboard, and its build like a tank, I’ve been using it for days and the battery is still going strong! A+++++

Dos semanas de apenas usarlo y ya escribe repetidas las teclas. La conexion entre dispositivos si esta muy bien igual que la sensación de la teclas pero no es posible que tan pronto se vuelva inservible
