Gro-Sure 20500218 Aqua Gel Coated Smart Grass Lawn Seed, 250 m2, 10 kg, Green

The product is very good I have used this seed for a number of years and found it very good germinates very well so very happy with the product. My only criticism is with the packaging the bag had a split luckily it had an outer plastic bag or seed would have gone everywhere. It should have been inside a proper cardboard container.

Good seeds but just be patient. 2 weeks before I seen any grass in patches 4-5 weeks before my whole lawn was lush and green this was in very hot weather too. Water Dailey prepare your soil keep the birds of and this WILL work. I would also suggest getting more than you need i had 250sq for 180 so used the lot but it has come through nice and even and thick.

Like other contributors, I can confirm after buying many bags and boxes of this seed, the majority of it is husk of the seed. I guess this is related to the processing of the seeds to give the aqua gel coating. As a result I have found I need a lot more seed than advertised (at least double) making seeding a lawn excessively expensive. That said, what I have found the seeds that are there do grow vigorously with a good success rate even in heavily shaded areas. The grass is deep green and suspect I'll have a vibrant lawn for years to come. As a tip, I would say that if you don't intend to cover in a dusting of top soil, ensure you sow when you won't get lost of direct sun. We watered every couple of days and got germination after 4-5 days. I held off cutting the grass for 3 weeks which seemed to be enough time for the lawn to establish.

Grass seed is grass seed.I can't say I've ever been that unlucky with seed.One thing to note is that most seed goes off after a year which means you need to use this stuff within a year. After that, it becomes less effective.

I used this re rejuvenate a lawn which had been plagued by moss. After treating and thorough scarifying I was left with a very sparse lawn indeed.I waited for the weather to warm up which was in mid April this year and then generously scattered the seed over the required area. This was then kept well watered either by natural rainfall or with sprinklers in dry spells.I was pleasantly surprised when the birds seemed to show no interest whatsoever in the scattered grass seed.After three weeks, successful germination was evident and this week, late mid May, was time for the first mowing. Lawn is now like brushed green velvet.Totally delighted with this purchase.

Waste of money. Barely any grass grew, not an exaggeration, Rest did not grow. Waste of a 10kg bag and £60. Birds loved the grass seed, lawn has not grown at all

I've been using this for a while and Amazon has it at such a great price. Birds don't seem to eat too much of it and produces a nice grass.
