Makes great, clear ice balls. I have another simple silicone mould that isn’t insulated and while they get the job done, the clear ice from this mould is an upgrade.Lots of people asking how much water to put in, since the directions say “fill to line” and yet in mine, at least, there wasn’t a line. The answer is: 8 cups**if you have the one that makes round cubes. Hope that helps.

Shapes are good , but they aren’t crystal clear. There are some small bubbles. Despite that I think it’s a good product.

Overall quality of the ice is great! If the water is done just right, it will be pretty clear with a frost around the outside but I wiped it away easily for the clear cube. I had a few with a layer or frozen bubbles at the top but came away easily with more or less clear ice underneath. When your liquid of choice surrounds the ice, it almost completely disappears! Definitely recommend this for yourself or guests!

I’m really impressed with this Clear Ice Cube Maker! The silicone tray makes it super easy to pop out large, perfectly square ice cubes every time. These cubes melt slowly, which is perfect for sipping bourbon, whiskey, or old fashioneds without watering them down too quickly. The tray is durable, flexible, and easy to clean. It’s also a great size, fitting nicely in most standard freezers. (just wish my freezer was more level) Overall, a great addition to any home bar. Highly recommend for anyone who loves their drinks on the rocks!

Does it make clear ice? Yes. I can't fault it for that. However:It does not come with any paper instructions or documentation. You only have the 4 step instructions in the product description. The first step calls you to "fill with water". However it does not specify an amount of water, and there is no fill line. You just have to guess, and you will find out if you put to much water when you get to step 2 "place the plastic silicone mold". The water will overflow from every orifice of the product.There is no indicator for how frozen the ice is. Again you just have to guess. You will probably make the mistake where you thought it was done, start to remove the silicone sleeve (which is a pain to get out), and water gets everywhere.I don't see this product being durable enough to withstand average use. This is going to remain at the back of my freezer as a novelty for when I have guests over, unless I return it. Also, the clear plastic top does not fit well.

These work well for creating large ice cubes. Getting everything assembled and in the freezer is easy, but getting the cubes from the tray is not the easiest. It took a fair amount of prying to get everything apart. The ice did come out clear, and I used distilled water. My biggest complaint is that when you put the ice into your drink you can see stuff floating in your drink from the silicone mold. The mold was washed prior to filling and freezing. Only time will tell if this continues after multiple uses. Maybe there is a "break in" period?
