Net is good, pegs not so much
The net is decent quality (a couple of minor bonding issues but nothing major) but the big problem is the pegs which just pull out over time. Get some good quality pegs to go with it and you'll be set.

Works well and is unobtrusive, but remove captured leaves regularly.
We bought this netting to help cover a couple of garden ponds that are surrounded by trees. One pond is small and triangular, the other a 5-metre circle. We cut up the net to provide cover for both ponds, which was a fairly easy task. We chopped up the 5x1 metre offcut creatively and used cable ties to create a bespoke net for the smaller pond. Together they have stopped quite a bit of debris including some fairly large twigs falling from tall trees from cluttering up the main pond. They have to be staked quite tightly in order to work well, otherwise the weight of leaves can make the netting dip in to the water and cause problems when heavy and rotting. When it gets to the heavy leaf-fall it pays to use a leaf-blower regularly to clear the net as part of a regular garden maintenance program, a chore that's much better than fishing crud out of a dirty pond come springtime.Putting a net like this over a pond is not really a one-person job. Sure, one person could do it, using weights to act as helping hands, etc., but it is a job best shared if you want to minimise effort. It's one of those jobs where a little help makes a lot of difference. The larger net, for the 5-metre circular pond, was a tightish fit. Even staked to be quite taut, the net dipped towards the centre and contacted the water, which is only about 30cm below the pond surrounds. Fortunately for us, there is a concrete plinth in the centre with a fountain attachment. We managed to get a bucket over the fountain attachment which helped to mound the net in the centre of the pond and keep it clear of the water, and if you are able to do something similar I'd recommend it since over the course of 5 metres there is quite a dip in the net that develops - especially under a weight of leaves, and even more so if those leaves get wet.The stakes are okay, but plastic. They hammered in well, but one of them was found broken a few weeks later. It would have been good if the net had come with metal stakes, and if you plan to use this for several seasons, it may be worth your while to get some metal stakes - tent pegs would do the trick very well. If you have access to bricks or heavy rocks, those could always be used to create solid anchors for the edges of the net instead. We thought it worked extremely well. We kept on top of the job of keeping it clear of leaves, a job made much easier with a leaf blower and dry leaves, and it brushed off very heavy leaf-fall and even moderately sized twigs that fell about 60ft fom the tops of the nearby trees. The colouring is nicely unobtrusive. While it may be obvious that there is a net over the pond, it doesn't exactly advertise its presence too much, and over the course of autumn into winter you can almost forget that it is there.

Good but could be better
It’s a good bet, just an annoying size. Would love it to be square rather than rectangular. The net itself is very strong and can be kept taught to quite a degree. Even to the point that a heron walked along the net and then speared fish through the net. So now we have the net raised slightly so they can’t get into the water.Visually the net isn’t unsightly, almost disappears when viewing the pond and can easily see the fish.

Heron (1) - Slicker55 (11)
I had a dozen large fish in my pond until I noticed one missing... CCTV footage captured at 4am, showed a very cunning Heron watching the pond for 5 minutes before swooping in to catch its' prey. So, lesson learned... always thought nets distracted from the overall appearance of a pond but didn't want another repetition so a quick order, delivered and fitted later that day (thank you amazon prime). The net seems very strong and the plastic stakes are sturdy and there are enough to initially peg the net down. I used heavy pots and other items to stretch the net so as to keep it out of the water. I have a fountain in the pond and it was quite easy to slightly stretch the net to fit the fountain faucet through it. So, scene set... CCTV next morning... Heron appeared 4.08am... (slept in)... LOL... he looked so surprised when he saw the netting... Oh, well, he will know there will be another supply somewhere nearby!

Very strong net. Dont really notice it much when stretched over a large pond.
Very sturdy. Easy to stretch over pond.
