Go to sleep with the heavens
We set it up in the bedroom to go to sleep by. The Andromeda galaxy picture is a little old, but nice to see. The more vertically you can point the projector, the less distortion there will be in the image. Very happy with it.

Absolute rubbish
Firstly straight out of the box the projector didn’t work, the motor that spins the disc was defective, the discs don’t turn freely in the holder either.Projection is rubbish only covers half the ceiling.Real disappointment if you buy this.

Just okay-ish
Bought this for my daughter as a night light, however, if you leave it on for more than an hour or so at a time the disks will go to a white-out appearance. This ruins the disks. Other than that there is a great amount of disks provided. They will talk to you when you first start them, which is interesting but may scare some toddlers.

Impressive
I’m very impressed. We bought this as a gift for my galaxy loving nephew and he loves to fall asleep looking at it. The projection is very clear on his white ceiling. Very happy with this purchase.

Spend a night under the stars in comfort
A word of warning, if the room this is in is not pretty dark the image will be washed out a bit.The room this projector will be used is also being converted into a craft room/small theater. We have already covered the windows with blackout material for that purpose. Once complete, the room will be used for when grandchildren visit. With the room being nearly pitch black, this works great for when the grandchildren sleep over. We will place sleeping bags on the floor and then start up the projector for so they can fall asleep "under the stars".The description states only 12 discs are included. Ours came with the 12 but had one in the projector to start with. No complaint there. We assume this is kind of a starter disc to introduce the others. An item the description does not mention is that the discs we have tried so far have a short narrative about the item that is projected. I find this as a really nice bonus. My wife and I love just about any documentary on space. I know the older grandchildren will love the information that is given about each image. I am not sure why the description of the item does not mention such an educational feature.I also like the fact the image is not just static. The projector rotates the disc and you can adjust the speed of the rotation faster or slower. I did not notice a huge speed difference, but it does change as you press the + and - symbols. To be honest, I only played with that function a little. I was more enamored at the beauty of the image. The projector does allow you to adjust the focus to get the image as sharp as possible. On a textured ceiling there will be some distortion, however it is minimal. As the images all come on separate discs, you must pull one disc out and put in another to change the image. As the discs are pretty small (but do come in individual cases) I do fear they will get misplaced when the grandkids wish us to run through the gambit of images. We will work out some sort of storage so they do not "disappear" into the 48th dimension.I never thought I would like one of these projectors the way I like this one. The purchase was at my wife's behest and I must state that I do not regret it one bit. i do wish that the discs contained more than one image so disc swapping would be less, I can live with it now seeing and hearing what you get from each image. We would recommend for anyone with children or anyone with a love of space that has a need to feed their inner child with wonder and amazement of the universe in which we exist.
