Surprised by this guitar
I am surprised at how well the guitar sounds. It will make a great learning guitar. There is a lot this computer guitar can do and will take time to learn all of it features. I would buy it again,

Super unique, affordable, and feature rich smart guitar
I bought the Lava Me Play on 10/3 and it arrived 10/9 in perfect condition. It's a small guitar for sure, somewhere between a parlor and OO size. The HPL body makes for a super light, slightly neck-heavy guitar. There's a usb-c charging port on the bottom of the body (I immediately put a magnetic charging adapter on it to minimize strain on the usb port until I pick up the wireless charging stand). It came with about 58% charge and after roughly 4 hours of playing with all the bells and whistles it was down to 51%, so it seems like it will last quite a while on a full charge. The big selling point of this guitar is obviously all the smart features. If you, like me, watched videos on YouTube of the Lava Me 3 and thought it looked cool, but too pricey for what may turn out to be a gimmick, this guitar has all the Lava Me 3's features with a faster processor and more memory for a smoother interface. For $400, it does a LOT of cool stuff. The built in tuner, drum tracks, looper, and lessons are all top notch. The effects are numerous and range from great to totally gimmicky, but the simple reverb, flange, and phase settings are pretty great. I need to spend more time playing around with settings (I boosted the effects volume in advanced settings by about 25% - any more than that and the feedback the app warns you about starts to become an issue), but I'm confident in saying that the value for money for the Lava Me Play is pretty incredible. Yeah, the HPL feels and sounds cheap when played without effects, but those effects overcome the shortcomings and then some. It's a little bit like saying a strat sounds crappy unplugged - that ain't the way it's meant to be played.All-in-all, I'm super impressed with this fun, kinda weird looking tech demo of a guitar. I've played for over 25 years, have played many different kinds of guitars and can't think of one that's more fun to play than this. If you're a beginner, grab one - it will make learning easier and way more fun (and the super low action makes for happy fingers). If you're a guitar vet and want to play with something fun and different, you can't go wrong with the Lava Me Play.(Also, it connected to my WiFi no problem, not sure what could cause the other reviewer here's WiFi issue, but my guitar thankfully didn't share that problem.)

Very happy with it!
The media could not be loaded. 1st off, I've been drumming for 40 years. Lead singer in my bands. I drum and sing and sometimes just sing. BUT, I've always been drawn to the guitar. I Don know much about the instrument but have had numerous through the years. I can honestly say I love thus guitar. Out of the box it just needed a tuner, easy with built in. No buzzing and a slightly smaller guitar which I like. I'm only 5'5". The tone may not be as warm as a Martin I once had but the effects and built in drum machine make it an easy choice. Hopefully the quality holds up through the years. It seems decent. There are lots of lessons on it that I haven't explored. Way more options than I will probably need. So far, the tuner, effects, looper and drums are all I'm interested in at this point.

This guitar is a 100 percent Bang for the Buck.
Okay, I waited to write this review for over two weeks in order to try out this new tech and give an honest opinon. I own Taylors, Martin, Breedlove and Guild guitars and I must say this is the most fun guitar that I have ever purchased. I got the nightfall version...looks great... and went for the Lava Play to just check out this new type of guitar and the price was very reasonable for 400. It arrived in perfect condition and packed very well. The setup was a tad high, not bad, but I adjusted the relief and shaved the saddle a bit so better now and easy to do. I wasn't crazy about the strings so I restrung with Elixir lights for a fuller sound. This guitar is similar to some of the new Martins with HPL which is okay but the ace in the hole is the electronics, just amazing what it can do for the price and sounds damn good for a 400 dollar guitar. I reached out to Lava with an email for a question and they responded immediately which is also impressive. I think that you can't go wrong with this and Amazon because if you hate it you can return but I doubt that you will, it's kind of an addictive little instrument that you will have fun with for a long time. Forgot to mention that the tuner is great in this guitar, many variations including alternate tunings which is a very nice feature.

Haven't used it yet
I got this for my husband for his birthday. I haven't given it to him yet but I gave it 5 stars because of the look and quality so far. It's light weight and comes with a case. I'll come back and update this once he has a chance to play with it but so far it seems great!

High 2nd fret, Replacement worked out
Eh, the guitar doesn't sound fantastic, but it's okay. The first one had an extremely high second fret. I was able to get a replacement after speaking with amazon customer service rather than a refund since the guitar was no longer available at the same sale price. The replacement's been good so far. The acoustic itself may not sound the best, but being able to loop unplugged and have backing tracks directly on the guitars interface is dope.
