This was my first for making sourdough bread! It is working well and the family LOVES it!!!

I followed the instructions that came with it and had no problems getting my starter reconstituted. It makes delicious bread.

First picture is day 1, 2nd picture is day 3. Following the directions exactly & the starter is coming back to life as expected. Can’t wait to make some bread with it. I rated it 4 stars solely bc it’s still early & I haven’t baked any bread with it yet but wanted to make the review now in case anyone was on the fence about this product.

This is really not a starter. It is flour with possibly something added, but the directions clearly tell you to feed with flour and water and discard half for up to 7 days until it's mature, bubbling and doubling in size consistently before using. Well you can just make your own with that timeline, there's no need for a "starter" that doesn't save you any time whatsoever. I'm on day two and it's not even close to ready to use. I'm not saying it's bad, but what you get and reading their own instructions, you might as well save your $ and make your own, this is not any faster or better.

Starter was great! Instructions were clear and have made a few loafs that were great and even made sourdough pancakes. Texture was good. Came in sealed packet. Taste was amazing!
