Q: Will this fit a magnalite pot?

It fits the Magna nested cookware. I don't know if it will fit a "magnalite" pot.

Q: Do these handles melt like the crappy plastic ones that came with the pans?

No they are metal where the plastic was. Call Magma and tell them you had an old set and your handles melted. They replaced mine.

Q: Handle Compatible with TFal handles

I do not think it is. This is designed to Fit the magama products

Q: The handle won't go on all the way. Has the design changed over the years, by chance? My other one works perfectly.

I have 2 handles, purchased at different times. The first one was included with the set; then I bought the 2nd one later. Both fit exactly the same. So I’d guess yours may be damaged.
