Read codes carefully
The item was easy to install and has worked great. However, remove the existing part to ensure all codes are read carefully to get the correct part the FIRST time and not have to return and try again. While returning was painless, it’s not free for Amazon to ship/restock and takes time for you and their team.

Solved my 2016 Yukon XL Denali trailer brake problem
Like others here, got a Service Trailer Brake System warning - as i was starting a tow trip…. Fortunately this part was available overnight and was a straightforward replacement. For those in a similar situation, there are recommendations out there to replace other parts of the system, although most focus on the switch. In my case, when I applied the brakes, the trailer brake output bar in the main dash didn’t move at all - strong hint that no signal was going to the trailer. Interestingly, I was able to get the part faster from Amazon than from the local dealer - saved my weekend camping trip…

Worked perfectly
I had a long standing problem with a "Trailer Brake Error" on a 2015 Chevy Silverado that Chevy couldn't figure out so they wanted replace all the associated electronics for a four-figure price. I spotted a YouTube video made by one of the many people who've had this same problem. A few minutes of work and a few dollars for a new switch and the problem is gone.

Always check the manufacturer's website first to verify it is the correct product. I didn't. This wasn't. Had to return for an immediate refund. Thanks, Amazon, for the quick response.

Fixed my check trailer brake message on my Silverado.
Had a check trailer brake message on my 2014 Silverado. Watched a couple videos that said changing this switch would fix my problem and it did. A big plus, this item costs over $83 or more at my local dealers, it was much cheaper from this vendor for the exact same part.

Finally fixed this issue
After years of trying to stop the annoying Trailer Service Brake warning on my 2015 Silverado 1500 truck this switch fixed the problem. I drove 1800 miles this summer on a trip with the chime for this warning going off continuously so I finally found a video showing how easy it is to replace this switch and decided to order it. Once I received it, it took less than 15 minutes to replace the old switch and I haven't had a problem since then. I wish I would have done this years ago. The new switch looks and feels just like the original.
