As I My wife and I are heading into our golden years, our aim is to make sure those years really are golden, and avoiding unnecessary risks around the house is part of that plan.Teetering on one of those three step kitchen ladders while reaching for that turkey roaster is a little more tricky at this point in life. Short ladders, you know, the one you have stashed alongside the refrigerator, force you too, at some point, let go with two hands when retrieving the thing in question.I’m no daredevil and either is my wife, so when we came across this kitchen ladder on Amazon we bought it just for safeties' sake. And that's where the HBTower 4 Step Ladder with Tool Platform comes into play.The ladder comes assembled except for a few parts that attach quite easily. It is sturdy, and the addition of a fourth step helps immensely as far as the reaching for things goes. Anyone who has ever had safety training knows how dangerous a ladder can be, and main safety point driven into folks who often use ladders is all important “3 points of contact” rule, which says the user of any ladder should have at least three points of contact while using it. So, two feet on a step and one hand in contact with the ladder can make life a lot less dramatic ,if you know what I mean. Smaller ladders than the HB Tower just preclude three points of attachment because of their limited reach and lack of extended reach rails above the highest step. And, the older you get, the more problematic this becomes.The reach rails on this ladder stretch far enough up to allow a user to remain relatively stable while gripping the ladder and extending one hand to reach your objective. Three points, no broken joints. The ladder is sturdy, useful, and a bargain safety wise. Get rid of the 3 step ladder and get a four step one with safety rails above the last step. One just like this. Good product, good price. Good health.

Very sturdy and easy to fold up and carry. Perfect height to reach everything a 2 step can’t.

Love everything about this ladder except it is hard to collapse it. Very sturdy, nice step size, love the tray and weight of the item.

I wish I had this folding 4 step step stool years ago! It folds nicely for storage, locks in place when in use without fear of coming unlocked, and has a shelf to store your items needed while using. I like that it has handles on both sides to grab onto as you climb higher. There is some weight to it when carrying it to where you need it. I think it is a good investment. I have been happy with my choice.

Use a few times weekly to retrieve or store items on shelves, change bulbs and ceiling vent air filters. Good height- many of these products are too short for ordinary uses. Fold out shelf serves large enough to allow item to be reachable befor climbing ladder

I bought one of these because I had been out of town helping my cousin on a project and she had one very similar. This is easy to fold and store; sturdy; not too heavy; and mostly safe.The one thing I do not like is the top section is screwed into the legs and is unstable.

Great ladder. Safe and the size is perfect.
