The Classroom Management Book Paperback – May 1, 2014

This is a wonderful book. EVERY teacher should have it. This is the one book I would recommend for every teacher. The author helps you set up every part of your classroom. Some of it may seem like obvious information, but anyone who has lead a classroom of 30 kids can attest to the fact that sometimes your brain can be jello after working with kids for so long. It is nice to have classroom management to rest on so that you can focus on the other aspects of the job. I would also recommend the first 30 days book.

I didn't get this until my 5th year of teaching. I almost want to cry about all the blood, sweat and tears that went into those first couple of years that could have been avoided by having this book!! It is seriously amazing. It helps me quick check my first couple week plans and make sure I am not missing anything. It addresses everything you need to teach for a smooth running classroom and gives simple suggestions to accomplish it all. DO NOT start teaching until you have this book.

As a teacher going into my second year I am very grateful for this book. I loved reading "The First Days of School" as it gave me a multitude of ideas and inspired me to be as prepared as I could for my first year. This new book has also been an essential piece to my summer planning. It clearly outlines how to set up your own management plan and gives excellent, specific ideas for the procedures that are necessary for a smoothly run classroom. This would have been great to read in my first year, but I still find so much worth in this book as a second year teacher. I highly recommend it.

This was exactly what I needed. It is much cheaper than ordering from the school bookstore and came on time in great condition. For any education major this is a great book, order it to help manage your future classroom!

This textbook has been extremely helpful to me, as I pursue a teaching career. It lays out classroom management plans in a simple, user-friendly way, and I will absolutely keep it around to refer back on when I begin teaching. I gave it four stars, however, because it seems mainly geared for elementary teachers, rather than content-area teachers, or secondary ed teachers. However, the basic ideas can be carried on to higher grades, so it is definitely a book I recommend to teachers and students studying to become teachers!

Honestly, this is is the book that I've been searching for. It's the best and covers a number of things that I wouldn't have even thought of needing for a classroom management plan. With this book in hand, I'm feeling much more confident about starting my first year of teaching. My mother, a teacher of 25 years, said that wishes the book had been around when she started teaching. There is some info that is more specific to elementary school, but I really believe that it could be used for any grade. Great info, easy read.

This book is worth every cent and is a life saver! It has examples of procedures for pretty much everything that goes on in a classroom, and it takes you through the examples step by step. Plus, it not only tells you about the procedure, it also explains how you teach the procedure to your students! There are either examples for elementary, middle, and high school procedures or ways to alter them to fit your classroom. It's a godsend!!

This book has amazing ideas and things you should be doing. Absolutely love the way it has you think of every single thing you need to think out and I’ve gotten so many compliments this year on my classroom management because of this book. If you’re thinking of a grad gift, THIS IS THE ONE.
