A additional power outlet for my garage good and solid.

Its a socket.....
You screw it to the wall, insert the wires, screw on the front and plug something in. Used as part of a power and lights upgrade to my workshop - which in fact I have just spent the day in using a Dewalt planer, a Bosch table saw and a Dewalt compound mitre saw.......each rated at 2KW....nothing blew up or tripped so yeah they work just fine.To be fair I engaged an electrician to run a separate 32A ring main around the workshop and that was money well spent and highly recommended whenever installing sockets and strip lights......

an item thats great i looked a while but fnd this item it is easy to use and noes great job

Poor quality
Supplied with screws to screw the faceplate on to the back box - but one of them doesn't actaully fit.It does not come with fixing screws to fit the backbox to the wall.Then we come to the "cutouts" - essential to be able to get the cable in. Unfortunately they are so strong that its impossible to remove them without damaging the backbox - and so large that the socket is then completely unsafe since all the internal wiring is unprotected.Definitely not recommended.
