Coffee stays hot
On my days off I have a tendency to drink my coffee rather slowly. Within 30 minutes my coffee is cold. This cup keeps my brew hot for an hour, and for another 40 minutes very warm. Just be careful not to burn your tongue as the cup is very efficient.The only downside I noticed is that the coffee tastes different when served in stainless steel but that's not the products fault.Also keep in mind this is not a travel mug, it is not possible to close the drinking spout/opening.

Not dishwasher proof.
I bought this very expensive mug on the strength of the name and the description that it keeps drinks hot and is dishwasher proof. Yes it does keep drinks hot but after a year of use the paint is starting to bubble & come off on the bottom of the mug. This is after washing on the top shelf of the dishwasher. Yet two similar mugs from a certain Chinese mail order company are still in perfect condition. Sadly I also gave a couple of Stanley mugs as gifts and now regretting the decision. Dearer isn't always better.
