Excellent For Electric Shaving A Must Have
As a long time electric shaver that has sensitive skin, I have struggled with finding the right shaving cream that offered protection, easy of shaving and value for money.I had come across the "Shaving oil" which is sold by this same company and what worked well for me was using the oil as a base with shaving cream massaged ontop of the base for a good shave. This did the trick for me until I tried to bulk buy and accidentally bought this without realising the "Serum" is different product. Well I can happily say this is the greatest accident since Columbus accidentally found America.EXPERIENCE- After dabbing wet fingers across my face, I massaged this serum thoroughly across my face and without adding any shaving cream or anything else. The key was to ensure there was ensure all shaving areas were covered. To my absolute delight, with an electric shaver, it worked far better than I was expecting. It has a better smell than shaving oil and the consistency feels like gel that has the consistency of oil so it spreads really well and washes off easily. Unlike the oil (in my experience) the Serum formula allowed me to go over the same area with my razor repeatedly without being fully wiped off by the shaving process. As a bonus, the trasparent colour enables me to see where I have shaved and where I have missed and last of all, after the shave, the serum leaves my skin with an oddly smooth/mositurised feeling.

It gives the same great shave as before but why in God's name change the bottle so you can't flipping see how much is left??? Daft design change guys.

easy close shave with no rash
Nice and easy to use, always in the past used the KOS oil, I get a similar result with this so happy so far.

Silky smooth shave but a bit oily
Got this as opposed to the oil, it being the serum. As l have found oil versions clog the blades making it hard to clean. This is still oily l would say leaving a thin film on the face. Didn't irritate and gave a smooth shave leaving the skin feeling silky soft. Shame you feel you have to soap off what remains on the skin.

Used it for many years
I do like using shaving oil as opposed to foams and other gels, primarily as it encourages me to fully prepare my beard prior to shaving and when done properly provides me with the closest of shaves. My one gripe with any oil products is that the blades need to be rinsed thoroughtly and repeatedly with hot water to prevent hair/oil residue building up between the blades which can be difficult to remove even if the slightest amount is left to dry.Great product, just 3-4 drops to prepare my beard and any resideue seems to condition my skin. After 20 years+ shaving with it and based on a principle devised by the ancient greeks and enhanced by the Romans, who am I to complain.

Excellent shaving oil
I really like shaving oils as I can shave in the shower, the containers are small and they give (me) a good close shave. I started with King of Shaves in the 90s but switched to Somerset's as it was getting hard to find. The formulation seems to have changed, and it now has a pump to dispense it, but it still gives an excellent shave, can be applied in the shower once your beard is wet (and softer), doesn't wash off and leaves my skin feeling good. The pump takes a bit of getting used to if you want a little less than a standard dose, but having used it for several months now am very pleased with it.The small bottle is also very good for travelling with.
