Excellent Fiber Cement Shear for a Great Price
Bought this in December 2023. (t is now March 2024 and I first used it and it surprised me how easy it was to use. It took very little force to start the cut and the angle of the tool and the weight of the battery are just right to aid in the cut. What also surprised me was to lack of dust blowing around as I was cutting the Hardie Plank lap siding. I used it to cut two 12 foot starter strips and I have one more to go. It was so easy and didn't generate any breathable dust. Simply wear an industrial style molded synthetic dust mask (N95 or equal) and safety glasses with side shields.If you are looking for a more reasonably priced too, this is a good one. This is the first tool I have ever used that cuts fiber cement siding and I am really pleased that it works as advertised. I also had a very good buying experience.Will have to see if I can get metal cutting blades for this tool.

Good for small jobs only.
As titled, this cement board cutting tool is really good for small jobs, so think DIY type applications. It's nice that it's battery powered, as portability is important for a homeowner - and like most other homeowners, I don't have any kind of industrial portable power source for work sites and such that a seasoned professional might have in order to power a corded version.I didn't try this on the thickest cement board, but for thinner stuff used on my bathroom walls it was great. The battery didn't die during a full work day, though it's not getting constant use by any means. I think this is a great tool for homeowners and DIY types that do odd side jobs here and there, but a pro is going to want a corded version.

Works well, with little dust.
Solid tool that performs well. We also use their power pruners in our vineyard operation. Manual is a bit skimpy, and I know from experience that there is no customer support.

Good tool
Good value for the money. It's much cleaner to use this than a saw. The cuts are not exactly the cleanest but it's good enough.
