I don’t know much about acupuncture pens. This electronic one came with a little pamphlet that shows where the acupuncture points are on the body and what they affect.The unit is plastic and the tips are metal. I think it’s a great one to start with to make sure that you like the feeling of muscles twitching before you spend a lot of money on one.I love it! I used it without conduction gel on level 1 and it sort of tickled my skin. When I moved the tip to an acupuncture point, I could tell immediately. I did a little research on energy-conduction gels. I’m a newbie, but it looks like you don’t have to have special conduction gels but whatever you use, it should be OIL FREE. You can search online about it. There are special gels for faces if you are looking for the anti-aging effects of the massage pen.

The instructions are extremely difficult to understand. The contact gel bottles were not included. After figuring out what “laser open,” and “laser closed,” meant, I attempted the lowest setting. I tried every attachment with laser closed and open. None of these variations allowed me to go past the lowest setting all while simultaneously shocking my entire hand and making the product unusable. Do not buy this. I had high hopes. Currently waiting for disability insurance to go through and wasting this much money to be disappointed again. It’s deflating.

There was no lotion included so ensure to dampen treatment area before use. It works very well and does the job intended. Thanks.

It is amazing. love the energy comes out of it and you can feel it shoot through your meridians of energy flow. Still trying to get used to it. It is quite powerful.

Weird tens unit for your fingers. Crazy how it knows. But it does.

It works. It delivers the shock as intended from the end electrode as designed. I bought it for a quicker option to grab and use compared to hooking up pads from my other actual TENS unit for some minor persistent pain I have. In that regards it works and is quick to grab and use.The part I don't like about this is that the hand unit has no electrical insulation, so the hand you hold it with will get shocked too, and at higher intesity levels it is unusable and unsafe to hold. If you hold it firmly in your hand tightly the shock is reduced a small amount but still very present.I highly recommend NOT purchasing this product until they redesign it for safer use.

Product has to be grounded in your hand can't have spouse use this on you or they get zapped. Other than that it works.
