Off to a good start .....
This tool was offered at a very good price, so I bought first and read reviews later - not so smart!! I was worried by multiple reviews saying that the tool broke within 5 uses. So far I have used it twice, and it works really well, removing a lower radiator hose clamp on my Jeep that I could not have removed without it. Really quickly too. The tool does not feel bullet proof to me, so I took the precaution of oiling the cable before I stated using it. I would recommend buying for a one off or two off job, and I will update my review when I have used it more often - assuming it remains in one piece!

Great for releasing hose clamps - absolutely works brilliantly - locks in place once open allowing one to free the hands to manoeuvre the hose. However, one of the tags which hooks over the spring clip snapped off....this was only after a couple clamps were removed.Good idea, but don’t believe the machinism is quite strong enough.

Great tool saves some knuckle cuts. quality not greatest but price good
Struggled doing a job in garage without this tool its essential for clamps on hoses. does stick a bit when locked and the locking trigger goes too far sometimes. Still a very handy tool i couldnt live without. suppose if you buy a branded name you would get a better quality one. For the money and the amount of times i will use it this is ideal for mem
