The Birdie is the security I hope I never need
The media could not be loaded. I feel safer with Birdie. If I leave home for something in the evening or early in the morning the Birdie comes with me. It's a small safety measure I take when I'm traveling by myself, whether it's a gas station, grocery store, parking lot or garage, or even the airport. I have heard for a long time that you need to make noise and not let someone take you to a second location. If this makes a loud noise, watch out! It looks bulky at first but it’s really easy to fold up with your keys in your pocket or out in your purse. I bought the lighter pink color and it almost blends into my hand which I love. It’s with me 99% of the time I leave the house by myself.

Cannot bring into stadiums
I love this idea and I’ve been carrying my birdie for months but mine was taken by security at an NHL stadium for being a “noisemaker”. While I understand the rationale from the perspective of the venue, it doesn’t make sense to me to have to remove a personal safety device when you’re attending a sports event or other concert venues. Isn’t that one of the places we might need these things the most?? Just frustrating. I’m buying another because I love the product but I wish I’d known ahead of time, so this is just FYI for anyone purchasing one.
