Nicely made product, of impressively robust construction. In fact, I was pleased to see just how flimsy they were NOT. Also, the ability to take one, two, or three AAs per adaptor is pretty convenient.All in all, I am pleased with my purchase, and feel I got a good deal because of the low price.Because I did not have an immediate need to put them to use, the long delivery time was not a problem.Yes, I rather hope the people making these adaptors sell a lot of them, because they deserve to, given that three AAs in parallel do make a very reasonable substitute for a single D cell, and that D cells that happen to be rechargable are pretty much unobtainable.Just so you know, they fit perfectly inside a Maglite.

Came across these when looking for more of the ones that take just 2xAA batteries, having given some of them away to a relative and another 2 having become defective, with one of the flat springy cathode connectors having broken in each - though I also ordered more of them as so cheap. These are of much better construction and obviously have 50% more capacity if you put 3 AAs in them. Depending on capacity requirements you can put 1, 2 or 3 AAs in each. Capacity even with 3 AA is nowhere near the capacity of a D cell. Under low drains conditions, higher quality alkaline D cells generally have a capacity of 12000mAh (some higher spec Energizers possibly 18000mAh) but good alkaline AAs are usually about 2200mAh, with some under 2000mAh and some (Lithium type) up to about 3000mAh.These adapters are relatively expensive but depending on intended use are probably worth it, considering the cost of D cells especially if you need them suddenly and cannot get a bargain.

Work perfectly

I wanted to get some NiMh rechargable D cells for an old radio and a torch. But they're quite expensive, so I bought a bunch of these AA to D convertors. They work really well and hold the cells securely. They take 3 AA cells each, though for low drain applications you could use just 1 or 2 in each convertor. Now I only need to keep 1 size of battery (AA) around the house which is more flexible.

Great adaptors - very useful and well made. Each can accept up to three AA batteries, and they are wired in parallel. I use mine with rechargeable cells and it saves me useful amounts of money over the now hard to find D sized disposables. I have mine plugged into a couple of old clocks and a megaphone. This is the second batch I've purchased and I'm happy to recommend them.

A simple, cheap way to turn your D-cell-powered device into a rechargeable.Solves the conundrum of what to do with perfectly good older devices that use D cells. You don't want to keep buying those huge throwaway batteries, but you also don't want to buy D-cell rechargeables and the dedicated charger they would need. But but you probably already have lots of AA rechargeables.The key, as noted, is that when you insert the AA's in the carrier, they are wired in parallel, so to the outside world, it looks like a standard 1.5 volt D cell, whether you have 1, 2 or 3 AA's installed. If you don't need that much longevity you can just put in one. Want a little more? Put in two, etc.Low cost. Works like a charm. Highly recommended.

Good fit of AAs into adapter, good fit into D cell device.

Sono degli contenitori/adattatori a forma di batteria tipo D (quelle grosse) che contengono 3 batterie di tipo AA (quelle classiche) . Se si usano le AA ricaricabili (ne occorrono 3 ogni batteria D) sono infinite le applicazioni a cui le vere D possono essere sostituite.Da condiderare anche il risparmio che ne potrebbe derivare.

j’ai acheté ces adaptateurs AA vers D pour un circuit électrique de mon fils. cela fonctionne parfaitement.j’ai toutefois une interrogation sur le long terme, à savoir si les piles ne risquent elles pas une auto décharge profonde(entre elles)? car connectées par les pôle? bref pour l’instant cela fonctionne je préfère recharger les piles assez régulièrement

Es un adaptador para convertir 3 pilas AA en una pila gorda modelo D, que no son tan fáciles de encontrar en el comercio, además son bastante caras. Con este adaptador siempre tendremos pilas gordas a mano, además le puedes poner desde una pila AA hasta tres según se desee. Normalmente cuestan mas baratas tres pilas AA que una D.
