I bought this to replace a Pampered Chef product that had failed. This unit was half the price and does a great job. I highly recommend for chopping salad greens.

I love these salad scissors. I bought them to replace a pair that the spring finally got rusted and broke. They are my favorite things to use to make chopped salad. They work well and store easily. I will hand wash this set to hopefully prolong the life of the product

This tool is so versatile! Instead of chopping and dicing on a cutting board, just throw everything into a bowl and go at it in 1/2 the time! So easy. Great for chopping big food items for babies and small kids!

This works! I LOVE chopped salads but cutting up all of the veggies into small bits with a knife can be time consuming and cumbersome, especially if it's loose lettuce like spring mix or baby leaf. These shears made easy work of it, although the pieces won't be exactly the same size nor shape, it's good enough.Some words of advice though:- Be careful when you clean these. Since it's not dishwasher safe, you will have to handwash. Use a brush if you can because the blades are very sharp and getting in between them with a sponge and your bare hand is treacherous.- ONLY USE A BOWL. Don't do what I did on first try: I used a plate. Lettuce flew everywhere and I spend several minutes picking it off various places on my counter and off the floor.- The tips of the shears will almost always be used pointing downward, so it requires some technique to get all of the salad bits. You will have to teach yourself to scoop the blade tips under the food to get everything instead of just running it through your salad tips down.- If you have little ones in the house, I would make sure to keep these away. They look like harmless scissors but they seem pretty scary. Potentially very dangerous!Otherwise, the shears are very sturdy and the locking mechanism will be useful for safety and storage. I deducted a star because it's not d/w safe, though.

I saw this at a friend's house and knew that it was a must for me. The instruction indicate a large flat bowl and I certainly agree. The tool is great and does a much better job than just chopping and more quickly--BUT- again, the bowl is needed!
