Fast and Safe Tyre Inflator
After a few years of using both a car foot pump and an ordinary bicycle pump to set the correct tyre pressure for my two sons' bicycle tyres, I became frustrated with the pump to bicycle wheel valve connector not gripping the valve properly. This resulted in some of the air with each pump not going into the tyre. It also meant that a lot of time and energy were being used up in getting the tyres to the correct pressure. Also, I was just guessing the correct pressure as there is no pressure guage with a bicycle pump and the guage on the foot pump I have is broken. On Christmas morning I used the P. I. Auto Store Tyre Inflator Dual Electric Power 12V DC (vehicle) 220V - 240V AC (mains) on these same bicycle tyres. What a difference! It is so easy to use and the desired results only take a few seconds if tyres are just a bit soft. Even if the tyres were completely flat, I think the time required to pump up a bicycle tyre to the correct pressure would not be much more than a minute. First of all you connect the power plug to a mains socket and then switch on at the mains. Then connect the valve connector lead to the valve of the tyre tube. The present pressure before pumping any more air in shows immediately on the pressure guage on the front of the Inflator. Then, when you press the AC button on the electric pump the air immediately starts pumping into the tyre and the pressure guage gradually rises. Simply press the AC button again and this stops the pump. After pumping up my sons' bicycle tyres I then proceeded to pump up the front tyres of my car. Again, this was easy and although these tyres took a little longer to get to the correct pressure it was only about 45 seconds for each tyre. Both tyres were just below 30 psi which was a bit low. I pumped them both up to about 37 psi. There is no more taking my car to the petrol station and spending 50p per tyre pump. This is a useful device I can now use in my own garage at home. Moreover, if you should be out and about and you find yourself with a slow puncture you can use the P.I. Auto Store Tyre Inflator by inserting the other male power lead into your cigarette lighter female slot. Keep your car running and the power will draw from your car battery to pump up your soft tyre. Just make sure to take the Tyre Inflator with you wherever you go in your car, which is easy because it comes in a very neat zip bag and is not a big or heavy item to carry around. It would fit somewhere in the spare wheel compartment of most vehicles. For the price of this item, I believe it is reasonable value for money, especially because of what it can do, and because it is safe to use and uses the least amount of effort and energy. Just make sure before using it, you know what your tyre pressure is meant to be, whether you are using it for bicycle tyres or car tyres or anything else that is inflatable. Otherwise you run the risk of causing the tyre to burst and injuring yourself.

Compact unit
The tyre inflator is compact and reasonably inexpensive. I have used it from a mains supply and it works just fine. The gauge seems a little inaccurate so you may want to check the pressures with another gauge after inflating. I have not used the inflator from the car battery yet.

Able to deal with high end tyre pressures of larger leisure vehicles
I used the pump for the first time today to inflate the tyres of my stored campervan which were each down about 1 bar from the recommended 5 bars, i.e. at 4 bars. No problem, very easy to operate, connect and read .Time for inflation about 5 -7 minutes pertyre which is not surprising as attempting to inflate by a foot pump is a killer!A very well made and thoughtfully designed product for occasional use in my opinion, smart and compact with good instructions. Very pleased indeed and good value. Even the storage bag is of good quality and again thoughtful, keeping the pump clean and dry.

It’s a good buy.
I ordered this for my brother and he is very pleased with it. Here is his review……“As a recent purchaser of the P.I. Dual Power Compressor after reading someof the Negative Reviews about it, I would now like to contradict all the badreviews I read, as I have now had the opportunity to use it.It functions very well and is not as noisy as some other makes are. Also thosepeople who have problems removing the Snap on Connector should ignore anyadvice about pushing it onto a valve as far as possible, as that way can causeit to be awkward to remove, causing a loss of air already pumped in to a tyre.I’ve found by pushing it onto the valve a minimum amount possible allows it’seasy removal without loss of any air.So good luck to P.I. Auto Store for marketing an extremely good compressor.”

It did not work for me.
I used it to pump the tyres of my car which were flat. After 15 minutes of usage, the tyres were still flat. I tried removing the valve and putting it back on, but it didn’t work.I then used it to pump the tyres of my bike which had low pressure. Again, after 10-15 minutes nothing happened, if anything the pressure was lower than before using this product.I tried feeling the air coming out of the valve on my finger and could barely feel any airflow, there was more of a vibration than air pushed through it. I’m not an expert, so I can be wrong, but it felt like no air was being pushed through the valve, so I don’t know how this product can inflate anything at all.Unfortunately, I bought it 3 months ago and cannot return it.

Does the job but not great quality
First one sent was broken - a fault that was clearly visible without needing to test it.Replacement was clearly a poorly re-packaged return but it worked so I will keep it.This was cheap at about £15 and for that it's OK but I wouldn't want to pay full price for it.
