Good fitment and simple to operate. Makes me look like I know what Im doing...
Disclaimer: I generally don't know what I'm doing. Honestly, I really don't. I'm not a plumber, and whilst I can tell which way water is flowing, anything too complicated has me scratching my head. If you are in the same situation, hopefully this helps you and sets your mind at ease.Overall: Short and sweet this review. I had meant to take more photos, but you'll have to just cope with the one.Packaging and Postage: That was the main intention of that one photo. Decent speed as always with Prime, but the presentation was...well basic. Still, it isn't a present. It is for inside a toilet - I'm not sure that wrapping it up nice would add anything.First Impressions: It looks like it fits - never something you can take for granted! Fairly basic design, which in my case is a bonus as it means I can work out how it works, and therefore less likely to mess up.Design: Fairly similar to the defunct item it was replacing. Amount of intake for water is controlled by the floating block. The water rises, the block floats and the valve shuts off. Amazingly similar to a ballcock. Just smaller. You can adjust the point at which it shuts off by turning the thin rod, which raises and lowers the block. This means more or less water per flush.Use: Simple to install. The thread was, as you would hope really, a perfect fit. Not too fiddly to attach, no signs of any weeping at any point and worked straight off.Longevity: Some parts like the thin rod are fairly flimsy. However, this is for position in a closed cistern. It should go gently up and down with the flow of the water. Its not exactly strenuous movement. No suggestion of this failing at any point soon, although as always, if it does then I will report back.

Does what it says on the tin.
Very easy to fit even in a slimline cistern.

Quite straightforward
Because this is side filling, there's no need to drain your cistern, but simply turn the isolation valve off. We have a fitted unit, so the cistern is fairly small - and I needed something quite compact, as I was worried about the space and avoiding contact with the flush unit. Easy to install and quieter than our previous valve.
