Great except the finish on the bottom is rough clay so set it on a cutting board so you don't scratch your counter

For a papaya making mortar it couldn’t take the grinding process of fresh chili peppers to make papaya salad. The whole bottom part broke from the mortar and I’m stuck with it as the return process is so complicated that I took a hit for the 2 day old product that broke while using it to make what it was created to do. Cheap product.
