Seymour DuncanDistortion Mayhem Set Neck Bridge Position Black

I bought these as I've had my Epiphone Les Paul for over 20 years and the pickups were a little old, needed repotting as they were getting microphonic and overall just a little muddy sounding. Thought I'd go all in with some decent pickups and Seymour Duncans are amongst the best there are, certainly at this price range.They are definitely a little more scooped than the originals, but have more attack and clarity too. Probably wouldn't want to play jazz or blues with these, but for rock and metal, they are plenty aggressive.The instructions that came were very clear and it didn't take long to wire them in, maybe half-an-hour per pickup. It definitely helps to have some patience and to know how to solder as you'll need to tin and solder 10 leads in all. Watch some YouTube videos on soldering first!

Oh my lord.... I am into mainly hard rock, anything from Nickelback to Slayer, but I do appreciate a good mellow tone too, I'm not into complete brutal metal saturated overdrive only, so where can I start :D I have been fighting to get a Gibson SG standard sounding good using a number of humbuckers from top well known companies, passive and active, even Gibson's own humbuckers were a disaster. Sorry Gibson, but these are not only fantastically clear n clean with absolute clarity, I have just given the SG a complete new life. I was considering dropping the guitar on ebay and sticking to my Jackson with cheapo pick ups but these Seymour Duncan's are a different world. If you want hard heavy bottom end de-tuned balls to the wall then look no further! Also the screamin lead solo's are really creamy smooth, not too bright. Perfect.With the volume rolled off the chords are real nice, and even trying to get that Angus Young ACDC sound is real easy. Why have I only just discovered Seymour Duncan? No, I am not getting paid by them and in no way affiliated with them but if you need your guitar to breath new life, trust me, do not hesitate to drop cash on these. Seymour Duncan have converted me. Fit them into my Ibanez Les Paul. This is what my guitar needed. Mayhem pickups + Twin Tube Mayhem distortion + overdrive = sound of my guitar I always wanted to have. Brutal high gain, very selective tune. Recommend!

Just wow !? Fantastic. Installation pretty easy. Especially if you replacing pickups. Although, manual included a bit useless - existing wiring slightly different. Anyway, simple enough.How does it sound ? ...Great ?! And that sustain !

Arrived on time. East to fit, but follow your guitar wiring. Colours may be different in the diagram provided from your guitar. Sustain is amazing on these puckups. They have brought my guitar to life. I recommend these pickups for anyone who likes a high gain sound.

For £150 I expected better packaging than this. Not fitted the pickups yet but first appearances are incredibly disappointing. I just hope the product hadn't been damaged.

These pick ups are not for jazz, they are not for country, they are for mayhem. Just mean sounding and with so much sustain compared to the stock. Made a 400$ guitar into now one of my faves to play in my collection.

finalmente quello che cercavo, potenza gain volume ,ho montato questi pick up sulla mia gibson....fantasticiamerete la vostra chitarra ....suono rock metal tagliente....metallica per intenderci ...ma molto rock slash..potete suonare di tutto.spero di essere stato utile.

Seymour duncan sinónimo de la máxima calidad, un sonido tremendo con una cálida ganancia, yo tengo las típicas jb-jazz en otra guitarra y diré que estas suenan más agresivas, menos vintage y menos cálidas, están pensadas para sonido más metal, por eso las compré para un modelo de guitarra de tilo y mástil arce, las jb-jazz las tengo en una de construcción típica de caoba con tapa arce. Muy recomendables, en especial aprovechando una oferta como me pasó a mi 111€, y además así en pack salen a un precio inmejorable.
