We have not had a free brush, we paid for it... and we LOVE it !!!From her being tiny until a couple of weeks ago my daughter (age 8) and i have had HUGE rows about hair-brushing. Conditioners, frizz-tamers, afro combs - nothing made any difference. Hair-brushing was a miserable affair of tugging, pulling, crying and shouting - from us both!But not any more.The Tangle Teezer gently picks at knots, and tangles and is almost totally pain-free. no more yelling, no more crying.To use it successfully on dry hair, we have found, you need to do the following:1) Give yourself a reasonable amount of time - it doesn't yank through the tangles but undoes them bit by bit, so you need to take it steady.2) Have a paddle brush handy to smooth things down afterwards - the hair tends to be very floaty and fly-away immediately after brushing.It works brilliantly on wet hair, as long as you have used conditioner.Again, because the bristles are quite soft and it takes a while to undo all the knots you will need a sensible amount of time to do a good job - but it will be worth it!I highly recommend this product to any Mum and daughter (or son) who have battles with flyaway, tangly hair.Daughter says she would give it five-and-a-half stars if she could!

I personally think this is one of the best inventions since sliced bread! I buy a lot of things, gadgets and gizmos, but this is one I most definitely would not want to be without. To say I love this product is an understatement, I believe I currently have about 6 of these in different colours, my hair always seemed so unruly whenever I went to brush it I'd loose loads of hair. I do colour my hair, and this has saved my hair falling out previously from over bleaching. Its kind to your scalp feels a bit like a nice massage, can help you add volume if you brush your hair with it with your head upside down, it just saves on hair loss basically AMAZING. They will eventually wear out, the bristles get a bit worn over time, but I use mine everyday and they generally wear down after a year or two. Don't bother with the cheap copies they are nothing on the original and best. Buy one of these and it will be one of the best investments you will ever make, and you will wonder how you ever lived without it, I certainly do! Dragons Den definitely missed out!!!

Such a great product that's superb at getting rid of tangles in long hair.Great design and shape to allow for easy handling.

After hearing several friends rave on about Tangle Teezers and reading other positive reviews for them I decided I should have a go.Firstly I note that my hair is long, wavy and thick.Initially I didn't like the Tangle Teezer as although it brushed through the sides of my hair nicely as soon as I got to the back it struggled and missed out the "bottom layer" of hair so my hair wasn't getting brushed. If I partitioned my hair I could brush it fully with the Tangle Teezer but this was really time consuming. I was also somewhat critical of the VERY flexible teeth of the brush to begin with and I went out and bought another new "normal" hairbrush as I didn't think I would get on very well with the Tangle Teezer.Three weeks later however I am much happier to use my Tangle Teezer! After having an incredibly lazy weekend of not brushing my hair the Tangle Teezer easily and painlessly got rid of all the knots and tangles that had appeared. So now I tend to brush my hair with my normal brush and when I find knots I switch to the Tangle Teezer.All in all a good brush for removing knots but not so good for just general brushing of long, thick hair.

I feel silly reviewing this product because I was actually purchasing more of these brushes - they are amazing! Between my house and my mother-in-law's house we now own 8 of these brushes and I've gifted 2 more to my sister-in-law. We have so many of them because we keep losing track of them (not a fault of the brush of course - just poor on our part). After using this brush for a few months on my daughter's hair we lost it and I had to revert back to using my own hair brush for her for a few school mornings - it was horrible going back! My daughter was screaming when I had to use a 'normal' hairbrush and I came back online to order several replacements as soon as possible. School mornings are already stressful enough and this brush makes them less stressful so I'm happy to buy extras as a back-up because they are so wonderful.I don't know how they work, but they are like magic. I've seen some of the 'fake' versions of these that you can even buy in the pound shops but I wouldn't recommend them from what I've heard from friends. I've never tried them myselff so I don't know why they don't work, but they don't.This is a product that is worth buying the brand for and paying the extra money. I will continue to tell all my friends and all mothers of small girls (or boys with long hair) to buy these brushes to save their sanity.

It is very difficult to comb my 5 years old daughter's hair as her hair becomes very tangled. We used detangling spray to ease combing but it never helped. She always got hurt during combing. I was looking for such type of comb to get rid of this problem. I found some type of detangling comb but those teeth are very hard. I thought to try this one. I am surprised to find the effect of this product. When I use this to comb her hair, it combs smoothly and it is seemed that her hair is really smooth, she does not complain as she does not feel any pain. Its teeth is soft thus it does not hurt the skull's skin. It does the same job on both wet and dry hair. I must say this product is just a revolutionary product.
