Dulux all the way!!!! 👌👏🤩
I have a whole house that needs decorating top to bottom. Before this it's been probably 10 years since I've needed to do any decorating or need to use gloss. As it goes the first tin I went with just happened to be Dulux, this exact one, no particular reason. When I ran out just went with the same one again. When I needed a third this was all out at my local store so went with another make. It was only at this point it became apparent and I appreciated JUST HOW GOOD Dulux is compared to, it seems, lots of, at least, other makes. On using another make I automatically assumed it would wash out no problem because Dulux does.... oh my god!! What a nightmare. Even white spirit doesn't thin and get other makes' gloss out of the brushes an rollers etc. It's just a continuous thick, sticky, globby mess that gets everywhere. I went with another brand thinking ahh this will be alright, nope same problem. The odour on the one was also really strong and the other said "Pure Brilliant White" but I could see a clear difference. It was more like cream. Thankfully I've managed to get hold of another tin of Dulux. THIS IS pure white, a lovely, fresh, clean colour, hardly any odour, goes on really easy, dries super quick, doesn't need many coats and the biggest thing for me... a little bit of fairy liquid and warm water and it washes out quick and easy, no mess, no fuss, not like others. Dulux all the way!!! Well done Dulux. It may be more expensive but its worth it!!

Great in everyway
Item was securely wrapped (which I was worried about ) but they did well with this one so NO paint leakage .Price was amazing for the normal size can , so a bonus to.I use this all the time and a cheeky little hack many don't know is , ( it can be used internally and externally ) so great for all jobs .It does what is says and days QUICK .Better that the gloss ones that take hours to dry .You can wipe it down to , which is very helpful. The finish is a lovely clean look .Defo recommend

Good stuff, looks watery but does the job well
It's not your traditional gloss and is watery in comparison, more like an emulsion , but it will dry in half an hour or so and from what I can tell is as tough as a 'normal' gloss. Will buy again.

Forget all you know about gloss paint!
This is a new type of gloss paint. As there seems to be a shortage in the stores of old-fashioned solvent gloss paint, I got this to paint a door and frame that were damaged.POSITIVES1)It is indeed a gloss paint. Not quite as high-sheen as old gloss paint, but indeed gloss.2)It is indeed white. In fact it is brilliant, eye-waveringly bright white. This may be a negative, as it won't match any other gloss in your room, so either you paint the whole room or have a mis-matched skirting board or door.3) It is relatively smell-free - no more eye-watering solvent smell that people used a cut onion for. You do get a smell - more like polyurethane varnish, an off damp cloth type of smell that quickly goes.4) It is fast drying - within six hours you can paint on top.5) You can rinse the brushes out in the sink very easily.6)It has a self-undercoating ability.NEGATIVE1)The consistency is totally different to gloss paint. Its runnier, and defiantly isn't non-drip. It takes some adjusting to manipulating with a brush if you were expecting old style gloss.2)It sticks to the surface well, but RAPIDLY forms a film on top, within 60 seconds. This makes it impossible to even brush over it on an adjacent panel without leaving brush strokes. Unlike solvent gloss, these brush strokes stay visible rather than forming a "white vacuum sealed flat surface"3)The coverage is poor. To cover an already painted white gloss door, albeit slightly yellowed, took three coats. The first was in effect a blotchy undercoat, the second and third were to cover the blotches and add a smoothish sheen. Fortunately it dried quickly. Maybe a roller would have worked better.4) The shine is uneven, depending on the thickness of paint and brush strokes left in the surface.5)The pure brilliant white is indeed pure brilliant white. This is significantly brighter than old style gloss, and looks set to stay so white. This may cause issues if you don't paint all woodwork at once.
