good tools, iffy bag
I bought this set because the price was great. Usually I would select for brushless, but at this price I can accept the shorter expected life. Excellent choice for a homeowner. A pro should step up to the brushless.By the tool:Circular saw, this was the first tool I used. Plenty of power, cuts 3/4" hardwood with ease. I used it to trim a finished cabinet (finer blade than it came with), I got an chipless result.Angle grinder: I cut off some bolts and I was impressed at how much I could do without running out of battery.Reciprocating saw: Easy to load and exchange blades. I used this to do a bit of pruning and, I've been doing this wrong all my life. This is the easiest way I've ever pruned.Drill: and Driver: Lots of power, everything I've come to expect from Makita. Users of lesser brands will be surprised at how much more power you get from a Makita.Blower: Honestly this was the bit that put me over the top to buy this. And it is better than I expected. It has three speed settings, and a very sensitive trigger giving you lots of control. It is tiny, more of a sawdust blower than a leaf blower. Fun to use and great for cleanup.Flashlight: well, I haven't actually used that one yet . . .the Con: I don't really like the bag. It is a good sturdy bag and it has wheels, lots of pockets, but it's just hard to find stuff in. But I didn't buy this for the bag.

A pretty close to complete set, priced incredibly
I am a carpenter and have transferred almost all my materials over to Makita. I think Milwaukee currently has the best line of battery tools on the market but you can pick up Makita battery tools for just over half the price which is worth it for me! Makita tools are precise! They may lack power compared to Milwaukee but they are precise and can be relied upon to make quality and dependable cuts. Makita tools in general may not last as long as Milwaukee (if you are a demo-centric plumber tearing out old plumbing all day long Makita may not be for you) but otherwise Makita works great for all the other trades. As far as battery powered tools for a carpenter, this kit is complete barring an oscillating tool. The blower, which I at first thought was a throwaway, is probably my favorite tool in the bunch. It has cut my jobsite cleanup time in half and allows someone like me who is normally a slob in terms of cleaning my tools to blow them off in seconds at the end of every day. The bag is bada** and is my new travel bag; it's a little big for this kit in my opinion but I drive a truck and not van so I'm constantly trying to make space.

Nice Kit. Good power. Feels sturdy. So far so good!
My first cordless power tool was a Makita 10.8v drill driver I picked up years ago, to assemble flat pack furniture and hang pictures. It served me so well that I didn't hesitate to choose this 18v combo kit when I was looking to expand my tool kit. This kit is pretty solid. The tools feel good in-hand; have a good (quality) heft to them. So far, I've never felt like they were under powered, or that the batteries were lacking. I couldn't tell you if these are "the best" -- but they've definitely met or exceeded my expectations. Here's some stuff I've done:1. Angle Grinder: used it to shorten the kickstand on a kids bike. Took about 20 seconds to cut through it smoothly and cleanly. Never had an angle grinder before. This is quickly becoming a favorite.2. Reciprocal Saw: tree branches are no match for this cordless wonder! I cut a bunch of 3-5" branches and the saw was flawless.3. Circular Saw: ripped a bunch of 3/4" plywood. That pile of sawdust at the end was very satisfying. The saw is easy to manage and control. The little safety switch took a little getting used to, but other than that, it was smooth sailing.4. Impact Driver (not the drill, the other one): used it to put about 50 wood screws into the aforementioned plywood. Like buttah. More than adequate torque.5. Drill/Driver: reattached fence board using 2" wood screws. Too easy. I would have used the 10v, but wanted to try out the new kit ;) Today I used it to drill thru some aluminum extrusion -about a 1/2" thick. No problems.6. I could probably do without the leaf blower, flashlight and bag. I'm sure I'll find a use for them.Overall I've been happy with this kit. I've had no problems tackling any task so far. For 'weekend warrior' projects and DIY stuff around the house, these are a great choice!

Makita quality at a great price...win-win
Got this as a birthday gift, from me to me. In the time that has passed since it arrived, I have used every tool in the kit. Initially, I thought the blower would be useless, but found it makes cleaning my shop much easier. The drill has exceptional torque, as does the driver. The circ saw lasts longer than expected on one charge. The reciprocating saw is as powerful as my corded "red" one, and the angle grinder has a new home on my welding cart. The charger works great and keeps up with my demand. As a bonus, the canvas tote bad is wheeled and makes it easy to carry everything in one kit.

Great value!
Great set of diverse tools is an excellent starter for a new shop or replacements for older tools. I was amazed at the quality of the carry bag! Super heavy duty! Well made with reinforced seams and zippers. No flimsy handles either. Plus it has wheels and a pull out handle for easy transport. I won't have to lug this around! Unfortunately for me, it came on sale right after I bought it.

Pretty good
Had this kit as an addition to my previous kit which works great. Used the drill tool first day and the motor crapped the bed. Awaiting further assistance from makita to get replacement. Overall though this is a good kit. It's heavy duty enough for home projects and getting things done around the house. I use all the tools everyday.

Nice product, high quality tools.
Kit is worth the price, although I with I had a multi tool in place of an angle grinder. Bag has handle and wheels which is cool, plus regular handles for carrying up stairs. Came with a blade for each tool but no drill bits. Blower was in a separate sealed box inside. Kinda nice because I didn’t really want that and plan to sell it to someone else lol.
