LOWENERGIE Photocell Timer Light Switch or Daylight Dusk till Dawn Sensor Lightswitch, 10A

Purchased one and was impressed purchased another within few days. Unfortunately they have both started to work incorrectly. Contacted Amazon customer services and was given the manufacturers details to contact. After waiting 10 days for a response have contacted Amazon again and they have arranged a returns not to credit me. Hopefully the second one purchased lasts longer than the first however will probably order two differing types and bin the second.

Read plenty of reviews on this product, took a punt regardless. As it transpires, it works fine, just needs patience. The photocell has no idea where it's been install, it doesn't have built in GPS, so the electronics take a few weeks to 'learn' dawn / dusk. Now it's learnt (3 months in my case) it lights up at dusk, switches off at midnight (I've checked numerous times), switches back on as set a few hours before dawn. Perfect. Yes, it does need a stuffing gland, yes it does need round flex cable not flat 3core cable, but it works.

I purchased this because of the timer functions so I can have lights on at dusk but turn off at a preset time so the lights are not on all night. This function did not work. I purchased a replacement item and that dis not work either. Contacted the manufacturer (LOWENERGIE) and got no help. Don't waste your money!

Took several days to adjust and work as described, however after several months it now turns ON at dusk and OFF at dawn - no longer turns Off after 6/7 hours.ON all night - not what I was expecting or wanted.

The setting up instructions were reasonably easy to follow. I set the off time to midnight and the on time to 8AM. For the first few days after installation the lights switched on towards dusk and stayed on until dawn. Last night however they did turn off around three o'clock in the morning.I expect that the switching times will become more accurate as the days proceed and it 'learns' more.The one quibble I have is that I have not found a way of adjusting the light level at which the photocell turns on the lights as they come on when it is still quite light outside and I have made sure that the device is not obstructed.Update 2Aug2024 The timer has now learned sufficiently that it turns the lights off at about 12.30am., which is close to the off time I had set.

The PM off and AM on function dose not work !And I have had three units in two weeks so it is not a one off! they just do not work.

A replacement for one I got 5 years ago
