Very different in a good way.
I've been curious about digital weights but most digital home machines come with features that I didn't care for that were driving up the price. I got the Apollo Board because it has the features I was looking for a good price. The device feels very solid and well built. So it is fairly heavy - 80 lbs. It does take a bit of getting used to to fold and unfold. It is compact; about the size of an old school suitcase when folded. The resistance is very smooth. Feels different from traditional weights because there's no momentum. So no sense in using your legs to assist you with overhead presses. The Standard and Eccentric modes are what you'd expect. The Eccentric mode is set to 70% up and 100% down, and it gives you more workout during the range of motion. There's no eccentric-only mode (yet) but this 7/10 ratio works very well for me.The Isokinetic mode is unlike anything I've ever used. I like it a lot. You don't set the weight. The harder/faster you pull, the heavier the resistance is. So you can lift at your failure point during all your reps. It has 2 settings: Slow and Fast. The Fast setting requires you to pull faster to get more resistance. The app is free. NO subscription required. Many different exercises are available by themselves or categorized into different workout groups. It can keep track of your workout metrics. I'm not sure if there are any live classes available. If there's one negative point, if you're struggling or making jerky movements, the machine may count that as a rep.It is also worth noting that the machine I got had a software update, which suggests improvements/additions could be made on the software side in the future. The base package comes with the board, handles, carabiner clips, ankle straps and a belt. And also a remote switch that starts the resistance. I will be looking into their bench when it becomes available. So far, I've been using a gym ball and half ball in place of a bench. So far, I'm loving it. It' s NOT a resistance band system. It's a digital weight, that has features that only a digital machine can offer And I can do just about every lift I do with free weights on this machine, including some of the heavier lifts. Well worth the buy.

Poor design
Joke of a machine! The sound is too loud. People in other room can hear loud sound that tell you the machine hsa been set. There is no way to control volume on machine?? In order to do that you have to download a buggy app that i couldnt even sign into?? Just get a much cheaper free weight machine. What a waste of money...

I've changed my mind so much about this but the button makes this a better product
final review I'm going to do the button is worth a lot more than you would think.. but basically they're a lot other better products out there now I would go that route it's more of a money thing The product just cost a little bit too much whenever I bought it as much cheaper I hate when companies do that for the price I bought it at it wasn't bad but I can't recommend spending this much when there is other competition that's better. After using it for a while again the handle being elevated is so annoying you can't just put a flat bench on it. The warranty is the worst out of all of them as well. The two sides sticking up and protruding out it's pretty annoying you can't just sit on the edge of it when you're doing certain workouts. The weight doesn't go as high as a lot of them Not a huge deal I'm not going crazy but a two-handed curl I'm pretty close The one-sided max so if I want to use a special handle which is one side it's not all that much weight. Update I don't know why it doesn't have chain mode every other one has chain mode it would be nice. Update.. I don't think it's worth 2k it's newest competitors should make the price go down cause they have better warranties and more range and modes.. It's almost perfect, really shouldn't even lose a star for this but it is kind of dumb some reason they put the handle that's in the middle a half inch taller than the floor deck meaning if you laid the flat piece of wood on it it won't lay flat I don't know why they do something silly like that it doesn't even make sense but they did. That and the app isn't up at all yet I'll update if that changes.UPDATE the app works I was just on the wrong one silly mistake by me.Pretty quiet and can use it around an infant safely which was what I wanted... I tried just using weights but I was too afraid of hurting my little girl who always wants her daddy as soon as I pick up a weight.. only worry is the cables the aren't metal on the outside at least.. but I'll grab the extra year of protection on here to eradicate that fear

Can be very Dangerous! Probably refurbished models
I was excited to try this out, saw a few scratches on the unit making it seem refurbished. Upon testing out for the first time using the bar and remote for bench press, the right side cable suddenly gave out at 50lbs on the 4th rep leaving the cable extended. With no luck reaching customer service I figured out restarting the unit would reset the cable. The second time bench pressing with the handles at 60lbs, the right side cable gave out causing me to hit my arm on the opposite side of the unit pretty hard, sending me off balance. Would hate to imagine what would happen at a higher weight. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I would caution buying this.
