Good
It’s not bad it’s cooler than a mains electric but hotter than a hair dryer, I use it on small jobs, and pre heating nitro engine

Can use it anywhere
Good quality heat gun that can be used anywhere, no need for a trailing lead

A bit gutless; just does not get hot enough
I bought this and an 18v aftermarket soldering iron to do work on boats. The soldering iron was a fraction of the cost and is superb. This is underwhelming. It does get hot, but only just enough to recover heatshrink; if there's a wind blowing you're screwed. No chance it will do soldering or solder splices unless you can get it underneath, well sheltered, and wait a while. Nonetheless I would not be without it just for heatshrink work, but suspect there's a cheaper alternative somewhere.

Nice portable heat gun
Very handy for Using heat shrink on the go and also warming up plastic Fittings. Nowhere near as powerful as the Makita mains heat gun, but still very handy to having your arsenal

Good but not great
Takes a little time to heat up but doesn’t get hot enough to do the job we wanted but good enough to keep.
