Excellent Product!
I purchased 3M Auto High-Strength Lens Repair Film, 3.5 in x 7.75 in, Assorted Sheets: Red / Amber / Clear, when our taillight was broken. It was a fairly large hole, but the rigid film covered the area, and now the taillight looks almost as good as new! The red color blends perfectly, and it appears to be waterproof and affixed securely. This product saved us hundreds of dollars and the trouble of having the entire taillight replaced! We had originally intended to use this product as a temporary fix, but it works so well and looks so good, we will probably keep it just as it is on our new pickup!

Good adhesion, blends in.
I broke my backup light because I was distracted... I removed the loose plastic and cleaned the surface with isopropyl alcohol for good adhesion. Cut a piece of the 3M lens repair tape and then applied it making sure to get all the edges down by rubbing them down well without cracking more plastic; I will replace the lens in the future. Durable? Time, rain, heat, sun, and cold will tell, if I become complacent and don't replace the whole taillight lens. Waterproof, it's plastic tape with good 3M adhesive, and from my experience with 3M, it should work well in the rain. For ease of cutting, I quickly cut with a pair of old scissors. Value for the money, that is a yes. Much cheaper than a ticket.

Easy, sturdy repair!
Someone “bumped” me in a parking lot and went away. I had no idea for several days when I happened to notice white light leaking through the red stop light on the driver’s side. My 2018 Corvette Stingray had never had so much as a scratch and I was very annoyed! I checked the price for a new stop light lens and they were $400 each! The chip was a small triangle at the bottom right side of the lens, I cut the patch to cover the sides of the break by a half inch and pressed in place. It’s been several weeks now, the chip doesn’t show at all and I have to look closely to spot it myself. I suspect that I’ll eventually bite the bullet and buy the OEM replacement, but the little patch is doing a great job! The kit contains clear, orange, and red lens material more than enough to cover most chips. The lens material is thick enough to be strong, thin enough to sculpt to curves and comes with a strong adhesive painted on the inside of the lens, cut your shape, peal the tape off and stick the patch on.I highly recommend this product!

Good for flat surface, not so much for small, curved surface
Dumb me bumped into my recycle bin and popped the tail light lens. Decided to give this tape a try, instead of spending $200 on replacing the len +additional labor cost since this would require take apart the trunk door...Well, this tape is strong, rigid. And I very much agree with other reviewers that it doesn't fit curved surface well due to how rigid it is. Also, it is not that easy to get a perfect fit where air bubble is squeezed out... if you look under bright light, it is also quite obvious. It adds to the difficulty since the side that was broken is quite narrow. It took me a while to get curved side flat on the lens (I did pre-bend it based on other review...), but there is still bubbles that I can see. And the under side wasn't fit well. But bubbles may not be the tapes fault...One thing that puzzles me is that my package arrived like in "returned" state. What I mean is, the sticker on the package doesn't stick anymore and there are quite some scratches on the tape also. The edges of the tape is a little rough also, don't look like a machine cut. Makes me suspect this was a return.Since its been raining nonstop here and I need to fix this asap, I decided to accept this and give it a go. I will be back update how this holds and depending on how it goes, hopefully to make a decision on whether to keep it or return it.Update 1 day later after install:the first 4~5 hrs after putting it on, I went to check it and tape is well fitted to the lens. I thought it was good. However, just 5mins ago I suddenly decided to check on it, and I saw the corner popped up.. with tiny strand of adhesions that I can see in the gap. I pushed it back in, hoping it can be fixed and didnt take picture for that. but now I really doubt how long it can hold... I took away one star for it... If I ended up have to take it off, which would also be pain for sure, I will make sure take picture and bring it down to 1star...In short, if you are using it on curved surface, good luck. otherwise, it is good for flat surface fix.
