Worth the $$$
I never expected to spend more than $30 on a rice maker but I’m glad I did. I once used a rice cooker from the 1980s until 2015. I bought cheap rice makers almost yearly since. Until this one! A friend of mine mentioned the functionality of his products from the brand and it intrigued me. I appreciate the little song at the start and end. The rice is cooked to perfection.

Performs very well
I have had really good results using this rice cooker. It does take a while to cook the rice, but the results are always consistent.

Expensive, but worth it
I love this thing. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's a lot more expensive than the simple one button rice cooker I had before. Yes, it takes an hour to make rice. I wish the pot was stainless steel or otherwise dishwasher safe. But I don't care. The rice is perfect every single time. I can leave the rice sitting in it and it keeps it warm (and it never burns the bottom of the rice or dries it out like the cheaper rice cookers do). I also love that the inner pot markings are easily readable. This makes it so much easier to add the right level of water.

Replacement For My Former Zojirushi—DO NOT GET THE RETRACTABLE CORD COOKER!!!!
I had to get a new rice cooker because my older Zojirushi died. I believe it was the “RETRACTABLE CORD” in the old cooker. I loved the convenience of the hideaway cord, but over time it would work sometimes on and off and I tried various electrical outlets thinking there was something off with my outlet, but everything else worked. I never knew when it was going to work or stop working mid cooking. I called customer service and they wanted me to send them the cooker all the way to California. Not worth the shipping or the downtime of having rice. Once you cook in a zojirushi, you don’t go back to stove top…..trust me on that. I cannot cook rice well, so I need this.I use this for oatmeal daily as well and have made amazing quinoa. For leftovers I use it as a warmer so I don’t have to microwave. It’s just been an amazing addition to my appliances.***You don’t need the enormous one unless you’re really into food prep or bulk cooking. The 3 cup one gives a ton of rice and it takes up a lot less space.***There are two 3-cup rice cookers to pick from. Don’t get the retractable cord. Get the one that you can remove and IF YOU STORE YOUR CORD INSIDE THE COOKER, WRAP IT IN A PAPER TOWEL SO IT DOESN’T SCRATCH THE INSIDE. MY LAST COOKER GOT SCRATCHED FROM THE MOST MINIMAL UTENSILS. ONLY USE THE PADDLE THAT COMES WITH THE COOKER

Always reliable
I always use this to cook rice. As expected from Zojirushi, it’s very durable.I used to cook rice with an Instant Pot, but having a rice cooker with water level lines makes things so much easier.Although it does require hand-washing, the stains come off easily, which is very helpful.

Awesome Rice Cooker!
This is by far, the best Rice Cooker I've ever had. Prior to purchasing this rice cooker I was using a basic $30 cooker that cooked the rice perfectly, or so I thought. As I began to use different types of rice, I started not to like how sticky the rice was. After buying the Zojirushi, my rice cooks with better taste and dryer so the rice is more individualized and not gummy. It rewarms better when cooked this way. I can also cook different styles of rice perfectly every time. The only drawback is it takes a little longer to cook. No more waiting to the last minute to decide to cook rice, but 50-minutes is worth it for perfectly cooked rice each and every time.

Small yields but fabulous rice
Pretty huge footprint for just 3 cups of rice (which is actually more like 2.25 considering the Japanese “cup” is more like .75). I’d buy a bigger one if I was doing it again, but the rice is spectacular. Zojirushi rules. Get one with Fuzzy Logic and never eat bad rice again.

This is the one!
Excellent, as the brand is expected to be. Very important to follow directions exactly. Use the provided cup. And know how to properly use the lines on the inside of the pot. Very easy to hand wash, and I love that the inner lid is very easy to take out and wash. There are tons of directions and reviews in online videos, which are helpful. This is perfect for 2 people. It makes perfect rice (of all kinds) and oatmeal every time.
