First -Time Simmers Look Carefully
For experienced sim players this is likely not helpful. For new ones, a Must-See. Download the drivers, firmware, and instructions from TM. If using with a TM wheel, DO NOT update the firmware immediately. Install, then test to see working and calibrate in the Windows game control panel. Pay STRICT attention to the instructions. If you connect before driver has been installed, it gets ugly. Set a system restore point before starting installs. For those in Xbox Series X, connect to the wheel before connecting to the console. Then start your game. If you do not have a game yet, get Forza Horizon 4 Demo. It’s free. The shifter DOES NOT work by default nor will you see the default game wheel config show it. You have to go into the difficulty settings on forza and set manual and with clutch. After that is done, it will work. Of course everyone has potentially different EQ. My wheel, hub, pedals and two (2) sparcos all connected and all TM. One TSS IS seq shifter and other is handbrake. This comes handbrake out of the box. TMs tools are good. Make sure everything is connected. This unit has a screw on adapter cable not the cheapo pull aways. It’s SolidAnd nice. I jammed this hard and works no problems. TM could have set the spring for sequential shifting to be firmer. BE SURE to use the handbrake calibration tool. TM did an excellent job with it, like being able to adjust the function so when first pulled there will be a slight delay instead of immediate. If you plan on NOT mounting this unit, throw out that idea. I set it on floor to test. Rigid mounting is must have. Mine is going on a sim rig anyway, but loosely set anywhere translates to not good.
