That is what it's designed for I do believe. Just make sure to get some hose clamps and steel screen.

Good for co2 extract?

No. Co2 liquid is no less than 1,070psi and requires equipment to withstand more than that safely which is why it is costly.

How many cans of butane does this require fully packed

Obviously volume is consistent. However depending on the moisture content, the consistency of the grind and how tight you pack it, it will hold a wide difference in weight. 1. For live resin (flash frozen wet green bud directly off the plant) ground frozen in a coffee grinder and lightly packed with a wooden dowel: it takes about 4 ounces of weigh with a yield of about 12 grams of taffy using 2 cans of butane. 2. Bone dry bud with almost zero moisture content ground in a coffee grinder and packed tighter with a wooden dowel: about 2 ounces of weight with a yield of about 24 grams of shatter using 3 cans of butane.
