... my maple sap concentrating set up and they work great! I would use these again
I use 4 of these in my maple sap concentrating set up and they work great! I would use these again, but next time I need filters (not any time soon I hope) I will upgrade to the 150GPD ones. I have used these to run over 1200 gallons of sap this year with no issues so far! I can get sugar up to 8-9% without any sugar passing into the permeate. I did try it up to 12% but then I was getting a small amount of sugar passing into the permeate.

Very good membrane when used in its proper application.
This has gotten unfair reviews for being used in applications that it clearly was not meant for. I've been using this RO membrane in the same unit for 5 years now. I take regular TDS readings and look for a spike in my readings as an indication to change, and I've seen no spike, but have opted to changed anyways as the one in my RO was 3 years old. This has a very long service life in normal residential use. All of our drinking and cooking water goes through this and it's better than any bottled stuff you can buy. In addition to our drinking and cooking water, in the winter months, all of my humidifier water comes from my RO unit. This is approximately 15 gallons a day for 5 months. The only time I clean my dehumidifier is when I put it away for the season. Otherwise I never have to descale or otherwise clean it while it's in use.

Three Stars
Better than the 50 that came with the unit and the water is just as pure.

DO NOT USE on Watts Premier "WP" model one-piece "Manifold" systems.
This is review of "100 GPD Filmtec Residential RO Membrane". While it should work as described, DO NOT USE on Watts Premier WP systems (i.e. WP-4V, WP-4, WP-5). The WP systems are the one-piece manifold systems from Watts Premier. This does not have the built-in Check Valve or Brine Seal inside the white plastic tube of the RO Membrane. Without this Check Valve or Brine Seal, water from the reservoir tank (when full) will back flow to the RO membrane and damage it, and waste water. This back flow or reverse flow will happen when your reservoir tank gets full. So basically, you will be wasting water as the water trickle will not stop. When I tested it, water continued to trickle out of the reject water outlet tube even when my reservoir tank is full already (it should stop when reserve tank is full). The water coming out is at a much slower rate though, but still plenty enough to raise your water bill since the water trickle will continue 24 hours a day.I have to give it just 1 star as I will not be able to use it. I had to buy another RO membrane.EDIT:See the two pictures I posted that shows the built-in check valve or brine seal on Watts brand membranes. Do not use 'other' brands on Watts "WP" model (one-piece "Manifold" systems). Please Please call Watts tech support if you need further verification.I am getting a lot of comments against my review on this (that I am confused and I don't know what I'm talking about). But see the pictures I posted for yourself that shows the difference between the Watts brand and the other brands.

Excellent for Reef Aquaria.
I use these filmtec 100 gpd solely for my RODI unit for my reef tank. They work extremely well considering I have "liquid rock" coming out of the tap here in Indiana. Just do your homework and prefilter out sediment, chlorines, and chlorines BEFORE the water reaches the membrane to insure good, long lasting performance.

This product is only good for ONE YEAR
This product is only good for ONE YEAR. TDS is already up to 18ppm. DONT BUY this unless you want to replace it EVERY YEAR!!!!!To be fair with the product. I do use about 300 to 400 gallon of RO each week. So maybe this is how long it will last when it produces close to 20k gallon a year.

Dow filmtec R.O. membrane
. . . works as design - I should've gotten a "high rejection" ro membrane instead.
