Been buying this same pump for a while now. It used to last a year which I thought was good value. Recently I have purchased however and last one lasted 3 months which for the price and how they had been in past I thought 'OK'. Recently got last one and after 3 weeks kept tripping electrics. Checked wires which were OK and this is all that's on feed. I have tried to select return item which is not allowed so I feel I can only write a negative review. No way to rectify problem or any assistance. We do have fish which rely on this device.

I wasn't sure about this - I'm not au fait with these things but basically I wanted a sturdy heavy pump for a 50 gal header tank converted to outdoor pond with goldfish and loach, but wasn't bothered about fancy fountain attachments as I've found that a simple short pipe can throw up a nice, noisy plume of water without the tedious frequent cleaning-out of a fountain-head.I was cross about receiving a previously opened package with the instruction leaflet screwed up on top of the pump and flex, clearly returned by someone disgruntled (expected a fountain?) But they hadn't opened the package of attachments, so I went ahead with installation ... propped up on a couple of bricks, it is sturdy etc, and with the basic short pipe attachment throws up the nice noisy etc ...It's fine. There's no way of adjusting the flow and if you need to do anything ambitious with it you'll need to buy the necessary hose/water feature attachments, but as far as I'm concerned it's a good basic piece of kit, supplying good watery noise and aerating the pond for any gasping goldfish.

Does not come with a plug.
Quick review to say it does not come with a plug. I didn't mind this as they cost pennies and I had one laying around. That said it also makes it suitable for wiring into a fused spur instead and preventing anyone unplugging it. I have personally got it plugged into a outdoor timer socket to come on a set times. I am using it for hydroponics not a pond.If anyone has ever built a watercooled PC the pump is very similar to a Aquastream pump which are very good.Wil update the review when I have had it a few months.

Can't be bother counting characters
This item looks good but the so called instructions for use are so poor they don't even qualify as a joke. There are 2adapters but only one fits unless there is magic way to make the larger one fit not covered in the so called instructions. You are told to carry out cleaning tasks including removal of the impeller, but once again there is no clue given as to how to find it or remove it for cleaning. 20mm flexible hose will not fit securely without a union clip. I don't know if it works yet but I will get a union clip tomorrow and hope for the best. Buyers beware.

Easy to install, works great
Purchased this pump for our garden pond. Connecting it was pretty straightforward. Only needed help with the wire, as it doesn't have a plug, but my father in law was more than capable to deal with this.It hasn't got a flow change settings, so you cannot change the speed, but it's probably expected for the price. Overall, it works great, really pleased with it.
