The easiest way to enjoy SPAM
I love SPAM but I don't like opening up an entire can when I just want a slice or two. These SPAM slices are perfect -- each slice is about the size of two slices you'd take from the canned meat, so you can cut a single serving SPAM slice into two "can sized" slices. The meat is just as good as it would be from the can, and there's substantially less gelatin and more meat so I'd say it's a better value. It's also lower in sodium. Not low sodium -- it's quite salty. But lower fat and lower sodium than regular SPAM but with the same great taste. To me it tastes just as good as original canned product.Overall this is probably the easiest way to enjoy SPAM. If you like SPAM but didn't like dealing with the can or having too much excess this is exactly what you want.

Stock up.
Love to keep this in my pantry. The taste is great. Easy to prepare. Great to use in many recipes. Shelf life is a plus. When I run out I plan on replacing.

Do not waste your time. Quantity is wrong.
I ordered the 24 pack and received only 12, jumped thru hoops to get a "replacement" and still only 12. Both packages had stickers stating 24. Not sure if it's a mistake or an outright scam, but I went to recent reviews and it seems to be a common problem.

We enjoy fixing spam in several ways.
We like the taste and the fact that there is no waste.

Convenient
My kid likes to eat Spam with his Ramen. But opening up a big can of it and having it go to waste just seems silly. These single serving pouches are just enough for anything we need them for. It cuts down on waste, takes up very little space in the pantry, and with the low sodium it makes it a *little* bit healthier. Cheap way to add protein to food and it's pretty versatile.

MMMM. SPAM!
I got a case of 12 Spam Lite Singles off of Amazon.com for the purpose of hiking/camping/emergency foot and to include in homemade "MREs".Fit the bill perfectly! A nice dose of "meat" for rice, ramen, etc., and will keep way longer than the date stamped on them. The single packs are light weight and compact and pack as nicely as pouch tuna/salmon.While even at a "Lite" rating with lots less fat and sodium and fewer calories, I wouldn't make one of these delicious self-contained patties a daily occurance, but when you're hiking, sweating, drinking water and eating healthier foods too, they make a great addition to provide essential fats and protein and general appeal and tangible bulk to bland foods (i.e. rice and un-seasoned ramen). Also a nice and tasty "rainy/snowy day" pick-me-up, keep-me-going comfort food that's just a pinch healthier than it's original form and other semi-equivilants (potted meat, sliced dried beef, etc.).I'd recommend these to anyone looking for "meat" for trail or emergency meals.
