I Love This Rev-a-Shelf!!!
I have to say that I absolutely love this pull out trash can! Installation was a pain because our cabinet was a half inch short of us being able to use one size up so we had to get the 12" wide set up for our 14 1/2" outside opening. A lot of shimming had to be done and with the installation instructions not the best, it took quite a bit of time to install. Having said all that, it was worth it! It is very sturdy/strong, rails are heavy duty and I love the second tray for extra bags. They don't fit perfectly but I took them out of the box and it works fine. This is so much nicer than going under the sink for the trash can, especially with an undermount sink. You will not be sorry - the quality is excellent. The third photo is of the inside of the cabinet after installation.

Glides beautifully, excellent quality! Lids purchased separately.
After researching several different trash can pull-out options, I purchased this one. And I'm so glad I did.We bought the 15" wide, 35 QT. My husband and I installed ourselves and were able to complete it in about 1.5 hours - the instructions were pretty straightforward. Make sure you have all the right tools needed before installing! It will save you a lot of time in the long run. We've had it installed for about 4 months now and it's held up wonderfully. Super sturdy and amazing quality for the price. Just wish it came with the lids. The lids are sold separately and honestly pretty pricey for what it is. It was $40 for two.

Well made but a pain to install
Works great and looks good, soft close is a nice touch and is working great after about a year. Install is a pain though, instructions were not super helpful and it took way longer to sort out than it should. But apart from the install issues it's a great product and really solidly made.

A terrific upgrade
We wanted one of these for years in our home. Before this we just had a free-standing garbage can that we pulled out by hand to throw things out. There was a lot of wasted space in the cabinet. Now we fit both our regular garbage and recycling in the same cabinet, accessible with a smooth pull of the handle. The bonus shelf on the side is where we store our replacement bags and leftover grocery store bags fore miscellaneous purposes. Installation was a multi-step process. I had to select a product that the walls that our old cabinet could support (the floor is just cheap fiberboard). Also, it's a trick to get your measurements just right between the back and the front screw points. The slide work well, although because I didn't get it 100% aligned, when I pull out the cabinet for maximum extension, it gets a bit tight. All told we're very happy with the product!(I would also add, we managed to fit this into a cabinet smaller than the size that the Rev-A-Shelf website rates it for. I figured that out by measuring the height of the garbage cans themselves and discovered it would work.)

So much cheaper than buying it from the kitchen cabinet store
I've been using this for 5 years now, and it works today as it did on the first day. My kitchen cabinet place wanted to charge me over $1000 for a built in (including the cabinet), which I thought was outrageous. I saw this, bought just the cabinet from them, and installed this pull out myself. Magic. I had exactly what I wanted for far less than half the price. There's no lid on the top of the garbage and I spent ages trying to dream up an auto-opening lid to put on top. In the end I didn't even need it. Strangely enough, smells have never been an issue. The cabinet contains everything because the pulley system pulls the door closed tight. The smells don't escape at all.The size is fantastic. Each bucket is quite big. We use the Costco garbage bags, which fit perfectly and are very cost-effective. I bought a box of 400 5 years ago and are still on the same box. I guess we don't produce a lot of garbage (which makes my point about containing the smells even more important!). lol.As someone who has been using this for a little over 5 years, I can say without hesitation this product is awesome.

Wish I had done this years ago
If you have pets are just want to upgrade your kitchen I highly recommend. Not for an amateur install. I needed way more tools and patience than the average home owner. It took me 1.5-2 hours. And you’ll want a tiny body, and the instructions don’t fully explain how to install. The wood support blocks are a must.(not included ) I recommend hiring a handyman if you aren’t a tool friendly human.

Worth the money
This went in easly. I cut two pieces of scrap wood and taped them vertically to the inside bin, then placed a slide on it, then was able to easily screw the front and back with out trying to hold it up on a marked line. A lot more heavy duty than the one I replaced. It comes with new barrels.

Well made, adequately designed, REALLY poorly documented
I am a general contractor and experienced carpenter. I have built trash can sliders from scratch before, but decided to take the easy way this time. I read the instructions twice and decided they were garbage. Everybody has their own way of doing things, but these instructions were the worst I’ve ever seen from a company that mostly speaks English. It needs to tell you where to drill holes to mount brackets and which screws to use. Instead it gives different directions for each part of the slide. I didn’t even look at the door mounting instructions because my cabinet was new. If your cabinet is new, just leave the original door on its hinges, install the rails, then close the door and mark where the rail bracket holes touch the door. Remove the door, remove the slider and attach the two together using the marks you just made for the screws. It will be perfectly aligned. All that said, the slider is very nice and the cradle for the cans is very well made. There is a little too much resistance opening the slide, but that might diminish over time. I would give this a solid five stars if it weren’t for the ridiculously convoluted instructions.
