A good quality chef knife
I have used the knife a couple of times now. Very sharp and cuts through all food items easily. It's a quality blade with a comfortable handle. Keep in sheaf provided at all times when not using.

Good knife, would highly recommend;
Do not be influenced by bad comments, from unlucky persons; this is a good knife, comes very sharp and keeps the sharpness. I had been using it for over 6 months, keep it properly (in the knife block) and never sharpen it, still as good as new. Good price as well, would definitely recommend ;

The design wears out and looks duller. The metal is of low quality and breaks easily.
This knife is only recommended for cutting salads.

Sharp and versatile knife!
Wow - I’ve never invested in a ‘proper’ knife before and one of my friends recommended I take the plunge. This is great - it looks impressive and more importantly, it performs great.I’ve pretty much used it to cut many things now - from vegetables, to meat and fish. Even slicing bread - all without any challenge.The blade is incredibly sharp, so definitely one to be careful with. I’m using it with a wooden chopping board to maintain the sharpness of the blade!

Mass produced tat
The knife I received was mass produced in China, designed to LOOK like Damascus but I'm pretty certain isn't. I wouldn't care about the first two points had it not been for the fact that it wasn't even remotely sharp.Perhaps I was unlucky and received a bad one off that slipped through qc but if I'm paying £50+ for a knife I expect it to be sharp.For anyone wondering, I ran my thumb along the entirety of the blade safely, cut carrots parsnips and potatoes with it, the carrots and parsnips SNAPPED before being cut, meaning the thick spine of the blade had more impact on severing veg.I would not recommend this knife for anything other than display, and even then it looks okay not great. I'm not even sure if it has a full tang like the design implies with the pommel.Buy a £5 knife and a whet stone, with 5 minutes even an amateur could produce a sharper knife.

Atractive and functional
Exactly as described. Have also bought a double graded whetstone for sharpening but haven.t needed it so far. A joy to use.
